Well that's a different case. You're promoting a movie. The people who have over 1,000 friends that just sit there and they never talk to are the ones that are stupid.

I resisted for a long time, too. It seemed to be more a haven for pedofiles and webcam tarts than anything, but I joined in December and I'm really having a blast. A horror-writer friend of mine told me he sold two screenplays through contacts on MySpace, so I figured what the hell.

Mainly, I like it because of the reasons MoonLit Meadow gives. I have caught up with a lot of old friends, even some from school daze. I have less than 200 friends; I have actually met and know over 100 of them (including the "bands"!).

The only thing I really don't like is, how time-consuming it is. The site moves really slow and it does take a long time visit all your friends, etc.

But, so far so good. It's free, so you've got nothing to lose.

Oh...I understand you COMPLETELY...Cuz if someone really DID have that many (500+) 'friends'...They'd be too busy keeping up with them to sit at the computer and ADD so many people to their 'friend's list'...lol


And NO ONE can keep up with THAT many people on the computer......It really just makes them look desperate...

I've got a whopping 44 friends and half are from this site.:cool:
