Well the movie was thrown together in a couple weeks, and it sure shows.

With a combination of shit acting, shit directing and terribly overrated gore/violence/scare, it was just plain awful.

You can also see the microphones in several shots.

Did I mention how bad the acting was?

ha ha i love spotting things like that....have you ever seen 'the people under the stairs'? its a crap film but i think its quite funny....well when the mum n daughter are fighting on the stairs...u can plainly see a man with a beard with a blonde wig on as the daughter...it makes me laugh everytime i see it!

Now... if you want to talk about how 'gay' NOES pt 2 is... then you got a point. Guys in leather bondage getting whipped while naked in a shower, etc etc.

I hear what the original poster is saying. This stuff started out as just bad filmmaking. But I think now they are a kind of tradition. Part of what makes them so fun is watching them with friends and yelling out "I can't believe how STUPID she is!" or (paraphrasing Dee Snyder) "For Christ sake - he's a fucking DOLL! Pick him up and rip his limbs off!"
I think the Evil Dead movies are so beloved because Raimi took a lot of those traditions and turned them on their head so that we could laugh and be scared at the same time.
I don't think there is anything wrong with awkward conventions in genre films if the movie goer knows what to expect. It's why I never pay attention to what critics say about certain kinds of horror flicks.

I liked "Friday 1" (It had Kevin Bacon in it for christ sake) and "Jason goes to hell" (Loved the Freddy ending). The rest can... well... Go to hell.
