I watched an episode of "V" yesterday morning for the first time ever. looked kinda decent actually....that is if they remade it, cuz its looked really really lame. some guy took of his hand and put on an electrical whip or something hahaha that was funny and lame. and this chick has special mind powers and threw all the movie theater workers against the wall, then she rode a horse in the park. oh and theres this kid that can knock you out in one punch.

I loved V too...shit, I was prety young when the (?two?) series came out. I actually bought it on dvd, ans watched it all again, which was cool, but ended up giving it away to a friend.
A modern day remake WOULD be good...do you think they could put it into a movie, or better left as a series?
Not to mention, that another way to go would be ditch the remake and make a new story...dunno how well that could work though, I mean, it REALLY could go both ways there, huh?

Sam, the book sounds interesting, is it mainly human "things" they investigate, or all kindsa shit?

T_R....Yeah, artemis fowl was cool...The third one was all good, but yknow, I still prefer the first out of all of them.
The same author did a rather interesting book called "The wish List" which would make a fucking good movie if they somehow made the storyline a little longer.
If you like the authors stuff, have a look...it's a kinda sad, violent supernatural story, pretty funny too.

**I read a book a while ago called "spare parts" (I think), kinda messed up sci-fi kinda story set in the future...it was very VERY weird and completely fucked up.

**Grim Fandango...the game...now that was a cool game, sure, it was a little irritating at times, but overall had a great atmosphere, excellent music, and it was REALLY REALLY funny...
Perhaps an adult animated film?

They're making a sequel to it called "Dog Soldiers: Fresh Meat"... Sorry, man.
Well thats better than nothing.:) I just hope it turns out O.K.

ShankS 02-27-2005 11:26 PM

half the cast of the Dog Soldiers sequal are to be yanks  don't mean that in a bad way, it just gets me that since the original has done so well in the States with an English Cast, why the hell do they still think it needs to be americanised to suit the tastes of the american viewer?? It's a friggin English horror set in the Uk.... so what if people can't understand the accents, what about us? we have to make do with yank accents, in most of the churned out hollywood stuff.

something else i think would be cool .. is to pick up where the alternative ending of Evil Dead - Army of Darkness left off ..

Ash stranded in post apocalyptic earth ...
fighting the evil dead - and mutants...

mankinds last hope - an idiot.

they could have a little fun with the Planet of the Apes deal.

I would like to see this made into a movie also, it was one of my fav. shows as a kid.

And I would also like to see two of Stephen Kings best short stories get made into movies also..."Rage" and also "The Long Walk"

I also agree with Cheeba, I would like to see a movie made out of the two Max Payne games.

I just read this on IGN and thought it would fit nicely into this thread.

Earlier today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced a series of next-generation console games based on the classic Dirty Harry films. The first title, to be developed by an as-yet-undisclosed studio, has the involvement of Clint Eastwood himself, who will provide creative input as well as lend his voice and likeness to the title.

SWEET
