This what I heard too on my local radio station that Bruce Campbell was indeed playing this role again.

the entire legacy of Ash was imbedden in Campbell's acting...he was the perfect person to play Ash...if the do have someone else, I hope the find an "independent" actor, rather than having someone who's already established in Hollywood...

But seriously why remake it? I love it the way it is. What will it be called "Evil Dead 1.0" .

Just because its more than a cult classic now they want to remake it.. Just like TCM. Money in Hollywood. Movie business is worse than the music business.

If they had to pick someone else to play ASH who would you choose?


The only one I can think of who could play straight as well as having a comedic side would be Ryan Reynolds aside from his role in Blade Trinity he is far from being mainstream
