The Hurt Locker
most realistic war movie I have ever seen. give it a watch asap |
Silent Night, Bloody Night (1974)--Awesome. Low production value, and the plot is pretty far-fetched, but genuinely creepy, the way that only the old films seem to be capable of.

Critters 3&4.
3 was pretty shit, 4 was surprisingly good (loosely, comparatively) for the "in space" episode of the series. |
Revolver(2005). This was a pretty fun watch except when it became obtrusively ambitious in its painful efforts to expound upon its philosophic message and its mystical foundations. Ashe.

Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning. After hearing that this one was the lesser of the three, i finally got around to seeing it. Just as good, and ultimately dark, as the others. Ashe.

Feast.
Basically inspired of From Dusk Till Dawn, a good movie with a strong scenario, but the action scenes are too dark and flickering. 7/10 |
The Warriors
7/10 |
Been really sick lately so I've gone through a ton of movies.
Wanted to show Derek some classics with: TCM (1974) Freaks (This had to be my favourite for sure.) At Midnight I'll take your Soul This Night I'll Posess Your Corpse A Freddy night where we watched every NOES film, excluding Freddy vs. Jason. Had a Milla Johovich night last night and watched: Ultraviolet The Fifth Element Resident Evil RE Appocolypse (We also played throught RE5 game in one night.) Some other randomly seen movies that we're on TV and the like: TinMan (series that played on the SciFi network. Loved this.) Willard (remake) Crank (really fun movie, made me laugh a lot when I was feeling pretty down.) Death Ship (not a great movie, but gets B-movie cred for having ghostly nazi's) |
Runaway Train
This was awesome. Jon Voight is badass! Cheers for the reminding me about this one ____V____ I enjoyed it a lot. Quote:
