"Quarantine"

Surprisingly decent American remake of {rec} I enjoyed it.
I was enjoying it quite a bit...though the main chick in it (deb from dexter) was so over-the-top freaking out that I just found her annoying throughout most of the second half of the film...and again, the cookie cutter ending in 90%+ of horror films these days, I don't feel it needed at all.
Other than, pretty good - atmospheric and tense.

The Bank Dick

Classic comedy, great stuff.

Ordinary People (1980)

A shattering, touching family drama.

>>: A

Sunset Boulevard (1950)

A tragic 'Hollywood' tale, brilliant in every area.

Not really a movie obviously, but close enough. Utterly terrible acting throughout. It's almost like the entire budget went to effects and they were left with hiring actors with a payscale formed from candies stolen from restaurants. At least the story is good enough to make you somewhat excuse the acting. Somewhat.

Are you talking about the Masters Of Horror version?

Cut and Run

I went and saw this on Sunday evening. Ruggero Deodato did a short introduction before hand. I don't think I had seen it before, anyway, it's a pretty involved trashy movie, Deodato was saying he thought the gore in this movie was more gratuidous than Cannibal Holocaust, People didn't seem to agree, but I did. What he was trying to get across was that Cannibal Holocaust could not have been made with out the gore, where as Cut and run could have been made with out the gore.

Over all, I nejoyed the movie and enjoyed his story during the Q&A afterwards.
