Hard Boiled 7/10 , Pretty Cool movie..... very dated though...

Watched The Eye, after having Eye 2 in my collection for over a year.
It was OK.
Not very creepy, certainly not scary.
But the story did make me go "Huh?"
Watch it if you haven't already..worth the watch!

Ichi the Killer got at most a 4.5 from me.
Total cartoon on film.
So disappointed.....
If I wanted a 'cartoon'
I would have read the manga!

But the violence/slaying was totally manga orientated...
ie...if you don't like comics/manga...

Nightmare Detective - Visually striking and at times quite gruesome.I liked the premise but I felt the characters should have been fleshed out a little more. 7/10

4 Horror Tales/February 29th - I quite liked this one even though I found it a little predictable.It lacked originality but it was all very well done 7/10

Zombie Self Defence Force - Low budget Japanese zombie flick with aliens and a cyborg thrown in! :confused: Pretty terrible really but it does feature a Hairstylist zombie biting chunk out of a girl while simultaneously attempting to comb the girls hair !! 6/10 :rolleyes:

Heaven's Soldiers - A curious movie,North and South Korean soldiers find themselves transported back in time to the 16th century with a nuclear warhead and find themselves in the path of a rampaging barbarian horde!:confused: The movie moves from serious political matters,acts of cruelty and all out comedy and then back again.I'm sure many people will hate this film,me?I found it somehow very enjoyable ! 7/10

Black House - A very well made Korean suspense thriller.Genuine chills,great performances and a very dark plot,one of the best I have seen recently.9/10

could not agree with your more "Black House" an amazing movie with the last half pretty violent, almost made the Texas Chainsaw Massacre quite tame, one of the best

Diary - The climax of this film was good but the rest was painfully boring.The biggest problem for me was that the movie was so predictable,within the first few minutes you know where the story is heading.With a more subtle approach this could have been so much better but in the end I found it pretty disappointing. 4/10

Someone Behind You - The premise of this Korean flick was quite different and interesting.The film had a strong first half that promised much,but ultimately didn't deliver due to a slightly clumsy conclusion.Still pretty solid though and it gets an extra point for originality.7/10
