I liked The Bay. Seriously eeked me out...

Re-posting these here:

This Film is Not Yet Rated (2006)

Fantastic expose of the MPAA - I liked this one a lot.

...

Cleanflix (2009)

Great documentary about a video rental business in Utah that purchases R-rated videos and then edits out the sex, violence, and language so that the wussy Mormon community can watch them. Amused the Hell out of me.

Definitely recommended.

Continuum -- Excellent sci-fi series. If you liked the Sarah Connor Chronicles, you'll love this more. Top notch all the way around the block.

Ripped through this over the last couple of days (last episode to go tonight) and thought it was great. It was a bit hit and miss to begin with but a few episodes in I was sold. Hope there's a second season...

I really liked the "Last Day of Earth" episode, where the last Earthling is just skin stretched out like canvass. I think that's the 3rd ep. It slowed a bit for me after that ep. I think I stopped at about the 6th or 7th ep.

YES! That episode is fantastic!

So I have an odd relationship with Doctor Who... I'm going to be honest; it took me a loooooooong time to get into the reboot - The only reason why I kept watching is that - true story - I wanted to be part of the Doctor Who Tribe (guess that means I was a wannabe?) - I felt as though it was a show that I should like, so I kept at it -

But ultimately it pulled me in - I had a similar experience with Buffy; I hated it at first, then thought of it as a guilty pleasure, then really got pulled in by the characters... I LOVE Rose Tyler and her family and got really attached to them. I love David Tenant. Season One is really a mixed bag - If you want to get into the show I recommend skipping The Unquiet Dead and moving forward... The show definitely picks up in Series 2.

Stick with the reboot of Doctor Who cause there are some legitimately scary episodes. The Weeping Angels episodes and the Silence episodes come to mind immediately, but there are many others. I was reluctant to watch the new shows but once I was in I was hooked.

My friend Sven told me the same thing -- that there are some early duds, or a bit slow, but it picks up. When you say Series 2, do you mean Season 2? Have an idea of which Season and Ep that starts after The Unquiet Dead ends? Thanks! I was really pumped with the Last day of Earth ep so I'm planing on watching more.

Right now I'm enjoying the last of the Netflix Supernatural eps, angels and demons, it's cool the writers were willing to jump in like they did. I'm so glad the "back story" kicked in, cause they were getting pretty redundant for me.

I started watching American Mary tonight, but did n't get to finish due to some chores needing done. The beginning was promising. Has anyone else watched it? Good? Bad?

Recalled earlier another movie I saw on Netflix called Dead Girl. I highly recommend it. Small film with an interesting take on a zombie movie. Very focused and more emotionally and morally horrific. I thought it was quite good.

Skip The Unquiet Dead? I loved that episode. I did really like the David Tennant years the best though.
