Really? I didn't see that film generating a lot of hate but you do have a good point it gets pretty ridiculous towards the end... but that's part of the reason I liked it. I know it was stupid but I enjoyed it.

Star Trek

Really liked it, nice way to establish a blank canvas for the future of the franchise. Bring on more

no,

of the three "animal" trilogy films i'd always considered cat o' nine tails to be the weakest

Intensity Part 1 & Intensity Part 2.

Two part TV movie adapted from the same Dean Koontz book that High Tension took as its source.

It's very apparently a TV movie, with the same lack of style you find in most, and the same range of TV actors. John C. McGinley (Dr. Cox from Scrubs) stars as the killer. The story is told in a straightforward manner, with none of the mind games & tricks that High Tension used, but also not nearly the level of brutality, violence, tension or gore.

As High Tension only adapted the first half of the book, it's interesting to see what else was in the book. Also worth a look if you're a McGinley fan. Other than that, only mildly interesting.

Night of the Comet

Lame, lame, lame, I liked the idea of it, but it was just nothing. There was 2 zombie scenes and one was a dream sequence. The zombies looked cool, it would have been better if it focused on them.
