I dunno what Ill buy next....
I think Ill get the Batman boxset...shoot me, but I thought all the Batman movies kicked ass. Even Forever and +Robin. But, Ive also been looking at the Exorcist boxset...I wasnt a big fa of it, but it's still a movie that should be in every horror collection. More than likely, Ill stick with Batman |
because i have been so good - and i got a free movie (buy 10 get one free)
- Wacky Races - the complete series - 2 misc Betty Boop DVDs (both my kid and i love betty boop) - Baby - secret of the lost legend - The House That Dripped Blood - The Boogyman - Rod Serlings Night Gallery - Season one (i almost crapped when i saw that one) |

DVD upgrades (from VHS) of:
"Rambo". And...the truly wonderful Chow/Lau team-up "God of Gamblers". Not a great print but okay and it's nice to hear Andy Lau being interviewed by Rick Baker and friend (whose name I forget but he's still watching the cheesiest dubbed Kung Fu in London's Camden Market all these years later) who were THE source of late 80's/90's Hong Kong cinema for people in the UK (then THE heart of Western interest in the Hong Kong Nu Wave) via his company 'Eastern Heroes" and the GREAt film festivals in London where people like Chow Yun Fat, John Woo, Donnie Yen and Maggie Cheung were often guests. |

I totally found a great thing at the used video store, a Tri-Star release of "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" VHS from 1997, this is a rare version featuring a stereo mix. You can't get any version on DVD in stero, and the tape totally sounds GREAT, was in good condition too. I was totally looking for this thing, and when I saw it I did a double-take, because it was only a couple of bucks..."Do they know they have something rare??" I was thinking, so I grabbed that thing. OMG!

Good score man. People aren't really taking any notice of VHS latley and you can definatley find some bargins.....

Got Videotape?
Hooray for VHS! VHS is cool, VHS is the new VINYL, it's the retro way to play, that's now today...
"VHS...you liked it then, so why not now?" Seriously, I still look for videotapes, and they're cheap now too, except for those really rare things like "Night of the Comet" that have not been released (to my knowledge) digitally, those tapes can actually be kinda valuable. |
I just read in the paper today that Wal-Mart and Target are going to start thinning out there VHS sections. There only gonna carry new release's and big budget films on Vhs.So you might wanna look for deals there.
I myself have become a DVD snob.....i won't watch anything on VHS. |
I do like DVDs, and I like laserdiscs also (well, technically, DVDs are a type of laserdisc). If I can get a movie on laser, that makes me happy two. It's a big, bulky format, but it reminds me of the 90's.
