It’s the Manos of zombie flicks.

But it’s better than the original. I’m not kidding. It’s a remake.

::EEK!::

Yeah the original was worse. What was it called? Night of Terror or something?

I think calling these two movies B movies would be too generous. ::big grin::

Yes, and let us never speak of it again.
I’d rather watch Pod People. Regular Pod People, not MST3k, than ever see those again. It stinks!

Hell of the Living Dead aka Night of the Zombies was really bad and yet ironically it's one of my favorite zombie movies of all time. I liked how they used stock footage of actual tribal people in the scenes for the village and the gore effects were actually pretty good. Also the way this movie ripped off so many other zombie movies like Dawn of the Dead was kind of funny. It's like the director wanted to collect as many lawsuits as possible. ::big grin::

Well some of us secretly like bad movies. They're fun to laugh at like the ones on Mystery Science Theater 3000. ::love::

Here's a tough one... can you think of the best MST3K film/episode?

Off the top of my head, I think I'd say Gamera. Of course talking about the original MST3k series.

Unfortunately I haven't seen every single episode and I only know about the ones I watched on the SciFi channel as a kid plus the episodes that are available on Netflix and Hulu. Some of my favorites are:

The Horrors of Spider Island
Jack Frost
Squirm
Catalina Caper (love the Creepy Girl song lol)
Final Justice
Incredibly Strange Creatures
Avalanche (from the new show on Netflix)

While Manos is a go to episode ( mostly because it’s the only way to make that flick remotely watchable ), I’d have to say that the funniest episodes of MST3k are Space Mutiny and Cave Dwellers.

Space Mutiny is on Netflix right now, go watch it if you haven’t seen it, and get ready to bow before Reb Brown’s manly war cry while driving a tiny zamboni. The Cave Dwellers episode is a bit harder to find, but it’s far and away the one episode that consistantly gets a great reaction, every time.

“ How much Keefe is in this movie? MILES O’KEEFE!!! “ Classic.

Pumaman is also a worthy mention, if for no other reason than to wonder what the fuck bet Donald Pleasence lost to be in it ::big grin::

Edit: Found this for you guys, go make some popcorn and enjoy.

Yeah I've seen Space Mutiny and Pumaman too. I absolutely loved the way that the bots were trashing the 80's during the credits and making fun of poor Mike lol. I also really liked Pumaman and not just for the riffs. Even though it was a very lame superhero movie I found it to be kind of charming in a silly sort of way. Maybe it was because of the music? I dunno lol.

Final Justice was a really good one. I just loved the way they shredded Joe Don Baker especially during the ending credits. ::big grin::

bad in what way?

There are so many ways a movie can be bad.

So bad it's funny, like Plan 9 from Outer Space. This is the rarest kind.

So bad you're embarrassed to watch it, like Dracula--The Dirty Old Man.

The kind where the movie is simply ho-hum and boring, like...so many choices.

Or the movie is so formulaic you can almost predict the rest of the movie from the first ten minutes.

Then there's your mediocre big budget Hollywood movies that nobody likes but Hollywood still makes a lot of money off of them anyways.

It sickens me the way Hollywood can do that.::sad::
