Days of Darkness.
The screwy little zombie film is everything I usually hate in modern horror movies- cheesy, silly, plotless, poor acting, awful script- yet this time something clicked for me and I enjoyed it. It made it to the point of so bad it's good. Some crazy xconcepts that make it rise above the usual drek. It's currently on Fearnet- check it out if you have a free evening. |
Kemper
It was more of a cat and mouse detective movie than a serial killer flick. Don't force yourself to watch it. 4/10 |
Bringing out the Dead
|
Bay of Blood
Highly recommended, although occasionally slow and hokey. |
Watchmen
Excelent |
Hellraiser
(Zone Horror channel showing Hellraiser triple bill, Im hoping to fight off fatigue to get them all in) |
Last horror film
I think the last film I saw was Van Helsing-I liked it. I was wondering; does anyone know about an old horror flik that was a monster chasing I think a nurse; he caught her; killed her; took her face & identity; went to the victim's house(man who saw that scarry face the night before); he somehow recognized the creature through her I dont't know.

Fortunately it comes as standard with my Sky package. You're right about the quality of the films shown though, for the most part they are a waste of time. Every now and again they do have some decent stuff on, just have to keep checking and hoping. Hellbound: Hellraiser II Ive always liked this sequel, but need more of the Cenobites! |
The Wrestler
I was totally captivated from start to finish. Bleak stuff that left me feeling quite fucked up. I could relate to "The Ram" and see myself washed up in a similar situation and it really hit home. Hopefully there will be more vehicles like this for Rourke. Quite possibly the best thing a major studio has released in well over 10 years. I think I'll watch this again over the weekend. |
