A bit of annoying dialog from the older characters but I love the director and this was gory as fuck.

Totally loved this... Fantastic cast too.. Hard to believe Fred Williamson is 80+

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: one of those flicks that somehow managed to elude me. Finally found a good moment to watch it and it did not disappoint.

6/10

I agree about the dialogue which sometimes sounded completely improvised, but not in a good way. But I give it to Stephen Lang, the guy’s a solid actor. Even in a B-movie like this.

Did anybody else get a From Dusk Till Dawn vibe from this one, or is it just me?

Is he just as scary as in Don't Breathe?

Haven't seen it yet, but it sounds better and better.

And I guess having Fred Williamson in both movies helps as well.

No, he’s actually the good guy.

Wow. Based on Don't Breathe (and a few other roles), he would make for a perfect villain.

Now that I think of it, I would love to see a Robert Rodriguez-film where he and Kevin Nash play brothers.

THE SHED 2019

A teenager discovers a vampire is hiding out in a shed on his grandfather's farm.

I enjoyed it. Had a bit of a Fright Night vibe to it.

TUSK (2016). Very strange rather disturbing film with a boffo performance by Michael Parks. Takes its time slowly building, putting You on edge with a payoff I wasn't quite expecting. Check it out, although there is an unbilled famous actor who all but derails the story when He's in it. ***

Day Of The Dead: Bloodline This sequel is a lot better than I expected, and is actually one of the better of the "new" zombie films I have seen in years. This one actually has a good plot, well developed characters, good drama and dialogue, great action, good staged combat and stunt work, as well as cool fx and a good picture quality. The plot focuses on a young lady graduating from medical school to find a cure for the zombie virus so that those who get bit don't become one of those things. She does, but at the same time, the zombie infection gets so bad, everybody has to live at safe zones in order to survive, then the zone she's at runs low on meds for a girl there who becomes infected. They are able to go to the University where there is plenty, but they end up losing a guy to the zombies in the process, then one of the zombies crawls under their van, and holds himself up to the bottom underneath it, so he is able to ride back onto the safe zone grounds without them knowing it. It gets even more interesting when that zombie turns out to be one of the female doctor's stalkers from before he became infected, and he turns out to remember and recognize her. The format is similar to the remake from around 2008, but it has an original story with original characters. Those who like the remake should also like this one. Even fans of the original might also like this one as well. It is not like the many cheap crappy remakes Hollywood has thrown at us over the past couple of decades now, but far better than that. I know that last one isn't always saying much, but this is not a let down. ::danger::

DUSTWALKER 2019

Smart little Aussie flick about a spaceship crashing just outside of a small rural town. Nice twist.

THE HAUNTED 2019

A young women is hired to care for an early onset dementia patient in his home for the night.

Plods along, not really sure what i thought.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose was a good watch. Intense performance by Jennifer Carpenter. That alone makes it worth the price of admission. Laura Linney and the guy from House Of Cards were good too.

The Irishman - The first two hours, well... Maybe you really have to understand Hoffa's* iconic status in order to fully appreciate it, but the first two hours seemed like the song and dance we have seen before in Goodfellas, Casino, you name them. Interestingly, De Niro shines the most in this film when confronted with problems he cannot solve with a gun.

*The first thing that comes to mind is a Maher-joke about a fat union boss ("A position he earned by eating Jimmy Hoffa.")

13 Cameras and 14 Cameras has a creepy message about the thousands of people who have been video recorded in homes, vacation resorts, hotel rooms, etc. without even realizing and how easy it could be to install and hide cameras with top technology, which is not only scary but accurate. The stories are about a creepy old man who is a landlord who installs and hides cameras in and outside of the places he rents to spy on and stalk the tenants he desires. He is also very slick and good at covering his tracks, as well as a great fighter, especially for an old out of shape old man who walks real slow. They also have another creepy and sometimes accurate message on never knowing who the landlord really is or what he is really like these days. The films are overall well done with the suspense and interest holding throughout each film. Fans of the old school done right artsy and gory serial killer film genre should not be disappointed with these. ::danger::

THE WAILING (2016). Korean film that looks great and has some decent scares, but such doofuses in it and way too many plot twists. Worth seeing, but really not more than once. **1/2

I think they should not call it horror. It's more fantasy than horror.

I enjoyed that one as well. They could have overdone the vampire cliches and made a mess of it but they did it just right.
