Ive really got to start picking the movie when I go to shows with my friends.

We're going to see Invincible tonight. Im about as far as you can get from a football fan, plus I absolutly loath these feel-good underdog stories.

Oh well, Im trying to get them to go to Wicker Man next week, which will make up for this (Even though it doesnt look nearly as good as the original, I still really want to see the new Wicker Man)

It just makes me sick that it's PG-13.

The chicks in the original walked around buck-naked. It was part of the movie, for chrissake!

I mostly just want to see how they handle the ending. I dont expect the movie to be good in the least, but I still want to see it.

Oliver & Company 9 / 10

The Benchwarmers

Ugh! This was terrible!!! I had pretty low expectations and this just didn't even come close to meeting those. Not funny, not original, not well acted and not worth your money.

Silent Hill

I've never played the video game but the movie was certainly interesting. It's a bit confusing on first viewing so I might have to watch again, but there were some really awesome scenes of gore and the acting was cool.

My grade is subject to change upon second viewing but for now, I'll give it...

Invincible

Not as bad as I was expecting. The actors were good, but the plot was pretty by the numbers. Like I said, Im not a football fan, but I still found this moderatly entertaining.

Silent Hill

10/10

Wooooohooo that atmosphere was GREAT! Especially when they first got to the town, and she saw the sign. The pyramid head stuff was great, the cgi was... well, cgi, but whatever. It was confusing, but I understood it at the end. I loved the ending too.

alkytrio666 08-26-2006 08:40 PM

Suspiria- 8/10

This was my first time, and I thought it was excellent. The atmosphere was supreme.

The Shawshank Redemption. A damn good interpretation of a damn good story. Really fine performances by Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins.

13 Ghosts

The recent remake. I saw this in the theaters and thought it was a pretty decent movie, Not great , but good.

Miss Olivia 08-27-2006 04:48 PM

Ravenous. One of the better cannibal movies, in my opinion. Robert Carslyle is brillliant, and the fact that I actually live in the Sierra Nevada foothills gives it a nice little chill. Definitely a recommended movie, if you haven't seen it.

Roderick Usher 08-27-2006 04:49 PM

Watched LEOLO again last night, forgot how fucked up it is.

Can't call it brilliant, but it certainly is engrossing - and the cat scene...ugh

TRIED to watch Torture Chamber (with Christopher Lee) last night...Fell asleep just long enough to miss most of it...It was looking pretty good...Lots of bodies hanging in the trees...Guy getting tortured...I'm hoping I can finish it tonight

CrimsonFiend138 08-27-2006 08:48 PM

Miss Olivia 08-28-2006 12:05 AM

The Patriot with Mel Gibson. Good movie....a little improbable, but hey, at least it's entertaining.

Why the hell didnt anyone i know that saw this movie tyell me about it? It was great, plus a laundry list of great actors, plus an uneccesary twist that actually didnt hurt the story.

Loved it. :)

Caligula...

Meh... The acting was decent (Peter O'toole was great), but its basically a drawn out softcore porn.

softcore ? the version i have is hardcore ...

i got it for the sole purpose of seeing Hellen Mirren.

Angra 08-28-2006 07:29 AM

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy " 5-6/10

Wasnīt too fond of this movie.

Didnīt really like any of the characters. Especially the main character annoyed the hell out of me. Not JUST because he was an irritating wimp who was constantly complaining, but mostly because Martin Freeman apparently isnīt a very interesting or good actor.

Another disappointment was the number of times that i laughed during this comedy. 1 time (The whale-falling-from-the-sky scene).

well if we're going to get technical i guess it had a couple hardcore scenes, but overall i didn't consider it hardcore by today's porn standards.
