I never got to watch Session 9 :(. I saw it a few years ago and wasn't really into it so i want to see it again.

I did get to so..So I married an Axe murderer and thought it was great.

Also watched Eurotrip, it was something I never really had the urge to see but I thought it was pretty funny.

It definately got theatrical release here in the States, it just didn't last very long. I wanted to see it- read and liked the book.

That's how I had been untill last week, then kicked back into gear... No movies for 3 weeks or a month, then 7 or so in less than a week.

I just haven't been in the mood for movies lately. Guess its summer so I've got the stereo on more and sitting outside drinking beer.

Killer I've been meaning to check out Doctor Detroit again for a long time. I'll have to grab the DVD if I come across it.

The Lost Weekend

Man, Ray Milland is one hell of an actor. What a phenomenal performance!

Brilliant character study. The pacing was a bit poor, but Milland carried the whole thing and kept me spellbound throughout. Easily one of the greatest performances on film...I'm in awe.

Alright buddy, I've got a sincere recommendation for you.

Days of Wine and Roses (1962)

Last year I watched The Lost Weekend (because I'm a big Wilder fan) and was very impressed, so I decided to catch a few more famous movies on alcoholism. I saw this Blake Edwards film a few days after and it made The Lost Weekend look like Snow White.

While Wilder's film makes a nice ctitique of alcohol abuse in America, Edwards presented a dark, hepless, abysmal crack at it. Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick honestly scare the shit out of me in this, and Lemmon's take has to be one of the best (and certainly his finest) performances I've ever seen.

See this film.
