See....you not being a drinker, didn't realize that the dark piss is much worse than the light.

neverending 03-19-2011 07:11 AM

I would just never associate the word dark to describe the color of Budweiser.

I think you gotta think of Leffe when you're looking for a 'dark' beer. It's the best!

Bookzombie in the UK "wife beater" is slang for "Stella Artois" so that's what they mean they are drinking lol it isnt really called wife beater UK censors would never allow it.
I am disappointed now. I thought I had fond a drop of hope in the darkness of political correctness, obviously I was wrong. :(

Fearonsarms 03-20-2011 08:30 AM

Not a chance the nanny state rules here in the UK. They are even talking about increasing the tax on alcohol thereby making it more expensive in the hope it will put people off drinking. In other words they don't want the poor to drink alcohol they only want it for the rich.

Mmm, good stuff.
I had a double IPA from a local brewery called Three Wise Men. And holy cow...one of the best IPAs I've ever had. It was almost syrupy; honey and amarillo hops. Dee-lishus.

I'll look for it...have you tried the Hoptimus Prime?

I'm assuming yes...seeing that you knew it was a double IPA

Yeah, just recently. You're right about it being super-smooth. I really enjoyed it. I hope you can track down that Three Wise Men brew. It's called Centennial Martyr Double IPA.

Ferox13 06-11-2011 12:12 AM

LOL@Hoptimus Prime

Bizarre 06-11-2011 05:18 AM

Skittles vodka.

Mean hangover, mind. Currently suffering...

Fearonsarms 06-19-2011 01:00 PM

At the moment I've been drinking steamboat-southern comfort, lime and lemonade-great if you have a sweet tooth

fortunato 10-12-2011 02:21 PM

Anyone into any October beers? I just picked up a 6-pack of a local-ish Pumpkin Ale by The Wild Onion brewery. Super cheap, in cans, and it's really really good.

My favorite is Sam Adams Octoberfest

newb 10-12-2011 03:27 PM

ahhhh....my favorite seasonals

The Sam octoberfest is my fav out of all the ones I tried. Another local one is the Narragensett Fest...also very good and pretty inexpensive . I'd rather have the octoberfest than the pumpkin [ to much of a spicy taste ] but the Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat is very good.

I almost got a 6-pack of the Shock Top Pumpkin. I'll have to pick some up this week. I really want to find Dogfish Head's Punkin Ale. It's probably the best pumpkin brew I've ever had, but it's hard to find.

Hmmm, I'll have to give that a try. I shouldn't have trouble finding it since I live where it's brewed. :D

Holy cow, this stuff is great. I like Sierra Nevada brews; this is a great, slightly-spiced brown ale. This will for sure be an autumn standby for me from now on.

Just be careful and have someone around who you trust, bro. When you party with hard core alcohol its easy to get carried away...Make sure you eat first and TAKE NO PRESCRIPTION OR ILLEGAL DRUGS! I can't stress that point enough...I've known 2 people who o.d.'d on oxys and alcohol, they are no longer with us...I also know a guy who put himself in a coma from taking 20 shots of 80 proof vodka in 15 minutes. To add insult to injury he got a years probation when he woke up 5 days later...
