Mafia.
Never seen this one before my friend brought it over.
Seems like a pretty decent quality of game, bit hard to get used to cars not going at GTA speeds though. I like it so far though, a strong, story driven game.
Anyone else get into this one ever?

F.E.A.R. Extraction Point

ManchestrMorgue 10-30-2007 11:02 PM

Call of Juarez

Picked this up today cheaply ($27). Only played the introduction, but it looks good. Installed the DirectX 10 update, and the graphics look brilliant. Hope the gameplay is as good...

Interesting to have a Western FPS.

Yeah, I rented this about two years ago for my ps2. I don't remember much of it because I was pretty drunk when I played it. but it was a pretty good game. I really liked the setting, and I also generally like alot of things about the mafia. I still prefer The Godfather game over this though.

Maybe I should rent it again and play it sober this time.

Phalanx 11-03-2007 04:58 PM

Playing M.O.H: Allied Assault on PC, another game loaned to me...my friend seems to have taken pity on me and my broken tv.
It's as good as most of the MOH games...nazis are fun to wreck.

1942
Amidar
Phoenix
Time Pilot
Street Fighter 2
2020 Baseball
Metal Slug
Pinball Action

Phalanx 11-05-2007 04:26 AM

You got that right...

Can get up to the stage where you battle planes like your own (purple background) but can't get past it.

Phalanx 11-06-2007 01:40 AM

There's also one called Time Pilot '84 with a futuristic setting...kinda cool.

I remember a game that controlled the same way, but you were a biplane, and took off from the ground at the beggining of a stage? Know what that one is?

Freak 11-06-2007 02:11 AM

TMNT on 360.Mainly just doing it for the easy acheivements.

Amalthea_unicorn 11-06-2007 06:46 AM

Pac-Space on Atari emulator.

I can't remember that one - how old was it?

Unless it was 1942 - the plane took off from an aircraft carrier in that one - but it was more of an upwards scrolling game.

Gyruss is another great MAME game that I forgot to mention.

Phalanx 11-07-2007 02:28 AM

No, it's side-on.
You're a biplane, and can do full loops, but overall you're travelling right to left - and you take off from the ground.

ManchestrMorgue 11-08-2007 03:12 AM

It sounds familiar, but I can't think what it was called, or find it.

I'll try again later...

Freak 11-08-2007 09:12 PM

Picked up Call of Duty 4 tonight.Gonna sit down and give it a try here in a little bit.

Edit..
If you cant get it to work I can make a thread explaining how is done..

Phalanx 11-11-2007 03:18 AM

Maybe we should make a MAME/Arcade thread up in here?
Thanks for the info, but I've managed to get a couple of USB gamepads working with my version of MAME after some annoyance, it's all good.

Hey...anyone know what the "raine" emulator does? it seems to work with different arcade roms...

Geddy 11-11-2007 04:15 AM

Damn good idea.

Could make it an emulation thread.

MAME/arcade, but also old computer emulation (amiga, c64 etc). Those things are great as well.

Phalanx 11-14-2007 11:52 PM

You make it, I post there.

ManchestrMorgue 11-15-2007 02:44 AM

You got it.

ManchestrMorgue 11-15-2007 02:29 PM

Crysis

It came out here today, so I picked it up this morning. Still doing the bits that were in the demo (only had it installed for about 20mins).

Amazing. Can't wait to get into some multiplayer.

Freak 11-18-2007 10:22 AM

Assassin's Creed

This game is by far the best next gen game I've played in awhile. It's right up there with Bioshock. The things you can do and the places you can go in the game are endless. Not to mention some amazing graphics. If you get the chance to play this I highly recommend you do.

Call of Duty 4

Simply amazing. Not only is the multiplayer great but the single player story is so engrossing and exciting that it rivals so many war movies... even some of the better ones.

illdojo 11-21-2007 05:58 PM

Guitar Hero III.

Damn, it's addictive.

The Mothman 11-21-2007 06:07 PM

Bought the hitman trilogy a while ago. beat hitman 2, playing Contracts, looking forward to blood money.

The release date is tomorrow!!!!

paws the great 11-23-2007 07:05 AM

Manhunt 2.......

Red1332 11-26-2007 07:22 AM

Right now? I've got a ton of games I'm bouncing between.

~Dead Rising
~Bioshock
~Final Fantasy on the PSP
~raiding in World of WarCraft.

Just looking at the list makes me cry because I've got a backlog of newer titles waiting to go...Strangehold is around here somewhere, and I never finished Heavenly Sword. :(

Dead Rising is amazing as well as Bioshock.

Just picked up Mass Effect goin to sit down and get started on it shortly.

Red1332 11-26-2007 08:41 AM

One of the art directors for Mass Effect is actually in my guild for World of WarCraft. We finally got him back for raiding a few weeks ago. He's been telling us how amazing the game is for MONTHS now.

I refuse to buy it until I've got the time to play it, though. It looks incredible and it deserves my full attention.

Yellow Jacket 11-26-2007 10:23 AM

Kingdom Hearts II. I'm stuck on that water guitarist at Twilight Town (I might be wrong on the world). And I can't continue in The Little Mermaid world because I need some kind of special ability. I forget. I haven't played it in about two weeks. I've been busy as hell at school and work.
