I just finished Ghost Ship.....alot better than I expected.

I'm watching the computer screen. But the last thing I watched was "Dead Alive" last night. Just can't outdo the gore in that one.

Damn good question. I wonder what the other directors were thinking at the Academy Awards when P.J. got up there to accept his Oscar. "Didn't he do that movie that made me sick for days?"

i still can't believe lord of the rings won for so much stuff ... i mean stuff like special effect... lord of the rings didn't touch f vs. j.... or texas chainsaw massacre... there were many movies it didn't touch... it had good Visual Effects... which was all the cg... but not much real creature and actual concrete special effects...

also, won for sound production... there was an entire host of movies that beat it in my opinion...

and how did johnny depp not win for best actor

I thought it was a good movie, too. I loved when that guy when to huge that woman and then he walks right through her and fell onto those spikes below. And the beginning when they all got sliced by the rope. People where falling intwo. It was awesome.

ghost ship was pretty cool the first couple times i saw it... but being it was from the same director and crew of thir13en ghosts.. i thought it was just about the same... and kind of relied on gore and effects rather than authentic scares... it wasn't bad though... especially for a newer horror movie

Unfortunately, horror films are not recognized by the academy. They're not "artful" ... just mainstream fluff.

f vs. j sure held it's own as far as kicking ass in the mainstream box office... and so did texas chainsaw... and that doesn't explain what happened to pirates of the caribbean .. or the last samurai
