Well...Ringu stands with a half love-half hate relationship with HDC-ers.
It's more delectable to dissect a movie like Ringu, rather than something like Warlock which everyone hates...which reminds me...a certain movie came out awhile back which was as popular as the rest but didn't go too well with horror fans or the film-maker's fans either.
But can the hardcore John Carpenter fans stand up and explain...why exactly didn't they like the remake of
Village of the Damned?

A: I liked Warlock too...
B: Village of the Damned was a forgettable film filled with themes and visuals that were accomplished with greater impact and more fleshed out in other movies. I think I fell asleep the first couple times through. |
