Slumdog Millionaire - Great movie, if not a bit depressing (yes, the ending is very satisfying, but I really didn't feel "uplifted" by the rest of the film).

Choke - Good, but it could have been better, which is a shame because Sam Rockwell is enjoyable as always (love him). My main problem is that it many things unexplained, perhaps due to it's length (only 89 min). Very quirky and true to Palahniuk's style, which is recognizable even if you haven't read the book, like me. Overall though, I enjoyed it a lot mostly due to the actors who all do a great job.

Kill Bill Vol. I & II - Back-to-back, pretty much one flick in two parts. Still kicks serious ass, still dynamite.

The Orphanage

It's movies like this that remind me why I fell in love with horror in the first place.

Absolutely stunning in every way: terrifying, heart-wrenching, and deeply moving. A movie hasn't brought me this close to tears in a very long time.

Last "horror" movie I watched.. lol... it was a lil flick called Undead or Alive... had Chris Kattan in it.. one of those, funny, ridiculous horror flicks.. it kept my attention and kept me amused for the most part, if you like those kind of flicks, I'd say check it out... I laughed at about 80% of it.. legitimately

loved it....and much funnier than I expected. Change a couple of things around and this could have been "Dirty Harry: The Geriatric Years".

Movies like this can be pretty hit-or-miss, but Clint nailed this one, on both sides of the camera. On screen, he created yet another iconic character that ranks right up there with The Man With No Name or Harry Callahan - and behind the scenes, he deftly told this man's story and shaped a world filled with laughter, fear, pain and - above all - redemption.

...I loved it.

Se7en (1995)

I thoroughly enjoy Fincher's entire catalogue. I like all his stuff; hell, I like Panic Room, and even had a good time watching Alien 3. I love watching Fight Club as much as everyone else. I've enjoyed seeing his style change and mature, and I think Zodiac and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button are fantastic entries into a promising future.

But Se7en is his masterpiece.

Same thing I said. Woulda been a great send off.



Last watched= Home Movie. I'll have to watch it again, because I'm still on the fence. For now I'll just say not bad, not great.
