"Identity".

I love horror/thrillers that makes you wondering what the hell is going on up till the very end. And on top of that "Identity" has a nice Koontz feel to it.

:)

Brick The best movie I've seen this year.

tarcher80 08-22-2006 05:28 AM

Kalifornia

Decent movie. Not the best writing or directing, but should definitely check it out for Brad Pitt's portrayal of a redneck. It was fucking great to watch.

"Shoot em' you mean boy!"

how about "Damn likeable"

I dont think anything Paul Anderson does qualifies as "good".

pam Anderson could do better sci-fi...

i never liked this film .. thought the actors just walked through their parts ...

Vodstok 08-22-2006 09:35 AM

I agree. Some of them arent that good to begin with (little bear... cant be bothered to remember that throw-away's name...), while others are great actors who just didnt seem to care all that much. Sam Neil, lawrence Fishburne, Jason Issacs, Sean Pertwee...

Anderson is a twit who can somehow suck the life and originality out of any concept. in the hands of a better writer/director, Event Horizon could have been a great movie...

The only thing he did sorta right was the first Resident Evil, and that one starts to fall apart after repeat viewings.

Miss Olivia 08-22-2006 10:22 AM

Warlock: The Armageddon. It's got some terrible effects, but overall I think it's the best one out of the three. The gore makes up for a lot, and I love the scalp-snatching scene.

hellfire1 08-22-2006 11:36 AM

the man with two brains.

You. You're the elevator killer? Merv Griffin?
Yeah.
Why?
I don't know. I've always just loved to kill. I really enjoyed it. But then I got famous, and - it's just too hard for me. And so many witnesses. I mean, everybody recognized me. I couldn't even work anymore. I'd hear, "Who's that lurking over there? Isn't that Merv Griffin?" So I came to Europe to kill. And it's really worked out very well for me.

urgeok 08-22-2006 01:00 PM

into the mud, scum queen !

Roderick Usher 08-22-2006 01:54 PM

Watched "What ever happened to Baby Jane?" last night with the wife and kids.

Awesome to see my boy really engrossed by the classics.

Roderick Usher 08-22-2006 01:55 PM

Gonna watch FEED in a few.

bloodrayne 08-22-2006 02:09 PM

Dead Alive...It's still awesome:cool:

Just like Terminator 2(I grew up in the 90's) Warlock was the sequel that I liked more than the Original because thats the one I rememeber seeing the most, I love Warlock

Miss Olivia 08-22-2006 03:04 PM

Warlock rocks. I just noticed last night that it was written by the same guy that did Pitch Black, and I love that movie too.

Just watched Rocky 3. Hulk Hogan is great.

"I'll break him in half, like this!!!"

Yes, excellent movie. Angela Bettis played the part of May to perfection. I wish she would get more roles. Although I did just see her in Sick Girl and she was great in that too.

The_Return 08-22-2006 04:24 PM

Edward Scissorhands

This was actually the first time I'd watched it, amazingly enough considering how big of a Burton fan that I am. Needless to say, I loved every second of it! (Though the ending was really sad)

ES was Vincent Price's last movie....I always get a little choked up when I watch that movie. And it has nothing to do with indigestion, either.

Akira. One of the BEST ANIMES EVER!!!!
Seriously. What a great nightmare.

Akira, the movie that got me into anime. Although Ninja Scroll is still my favorite, and luckily I was able to pick it up used for $5.99

CrimsonFiend138 08-22-2006 05:22 PM

I bought the anniversary edition of Ninja Scroll at Tower records for 34.99. It was before I got internet.
They could have at least given me a kiss before they screwed me.:p

Agreed, I found it pretty depressing myself.

newb 08-22-2006 07:22 PM

Silent Hill----ambitious movie with great visuals....I never played the game....SO WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE MOVIE ABOUT?

Not a bad watch....just a bit muddled.

The_Return 08-22-2006 07:26 PM

The Haunting (1963)

Wow. Loved it, scared me half to death. Perfect ending.

persuasian70 08-22-2006 07:39 PM

Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang 8.5/10 - Great movie, a dark comedy with some of the best work Robert Downey Jr. has done in awhile. Val Kilmer as a gay private dick was classic too.

The Matador 8/10 - Pierce Brosnan doesn't need Bond. He is great in this funny movie as a burned out hit man or "facilitator of fatalities". He plays against type, and shows us that he has a great comic presence. Check this one out.

A true classic of the genre. It creates the perfect atmosphere for a ghost story.

"Snakes On A Plane"

I Loved it.
