Gus van Sant should be shot in the face.

...

Watched Elf this morning.

Such a sweet little Christmas film. Will Ferrell's wide-eyed wonder is perfect for the role. I watch it every year and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. :D

Pre-rate:

Revolver: probably will hate it, and want to throw up from pointless unexpected blood spurting from someone's mouth at the same time I am taking a sip of something. Will have PTSD from the extreme violence which I have not built up a tolerance for lately with all the fucking Barney watching going on at my home.

The Last Legion: will most likely be pleasantly surprised and want to buy this one because I have no idea why this title is even coming to me because I do not remember ever looking at it or putting it into my cue. Reading the blurbs doesn't shake any memories either.

The Forbidden Kingdom: will love this even if it sucks donkey dick because I am toast when it comes to anything with swords nowadays.

The Forbidden Kingdom: FUNNY, BEAUTIFUL, LOVED IT.

Revolver: not watching it, sending it back, will re-rent later

Milk

Great performances from Sean Penn and James Franco. Biopics are not really my thing, but this one does it well. Heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time.

Alien vs Predator.

The latest challenge in Idol made me put this in for another spin. I know people bash it, and long-time fanboys of both franchises hate it with a passion, but it has always been one of my guilty pleasures. Because, not only was it a long-time dream come true, but I admired the setting in which this premise took place.

Dont get me wrong here. The flick still has plenty of faults, but I enjoy it every time I see it. More in the thread.

Rating - * * ½

Bottle Rocket (1996) - 9/10.

One of my favorite comedies and probablt Wes Anderson's best film.

"Phantasm 2" 7-8/10

Actually enjoyed this one quite a lot.

Far better than the first one and it's weird that both movies has been made by the same director, coz P2 is pulled off MUCH better. The story runs slicker, it's much gorier and has a lot more special effects. It even has a lil bit of humor. Cute.

The 9 years between the first and its sequal has done director Coscarelli a lot of good.

The tall man still isn't scary, but at least he has stopped sayin Boiiiiiiiiiii!!! :D

Heavy Metal
I havnt really seen too many animated movies, but this one is my fav so far. really old school, dug it. The Fifth Elelment folowed the first episode of this movie almost perfectly.
