My Name is Bruce

Fun as hell to watch and PACKED with movie references. To top it all off there was a VERY entertaining Q & A with Bruce where he touched on the ED remake, ED 4, Freddy/Ash/Jason, and a lot more. Fun stuff.

I am really glad to see that. It needs to be seen and appreciated by everybody. One of the best and underrated foreign flicks of this year.

There's a lot to be said about the mood and atmosphere of a film. There can be plot holes and situations that aren't explained/conveyed well enough in a film, but if the mood is set up just right, these things can be overlooked, imo. This film is heavy with melancholy, and it makes it beautiful to watch the story unfold (which is why I fell in love with All the Boys Love Mandy Lane). But yeah... it's a film to be seen, definitely.

They are simply perfect in conveying a budding romance of the purest kind. I doubt the actors cast in the remake will be able to capture the easy chemistry between the two. The violence, though brutal, is never gratuitous or out of place. Amazing film.

And now I can truly join in on the remake hating.

Excellent.
Goodness, I haven't been this pumped to see a movie in quite some time.

Body Heat.

Nothing better to remove the bad taste of a shitty flick, than a sizzling fast-paced entertainer. All those who thought Basic Instinct and Sharon Stone made them sweat, oughta check this one out and have a spoonful of Kathleen Turner. Oh boy!

Wonderful acting, great script and decent direction. Recommended to all the fanboys who love a lot of steaminess, seduction and twists in their movies.

Rating - * * * ½

I like to recommend you Eden Lake...another survival horror with as usual an upsetting & shocking ending and far better than The Strangers and to some extent it even goes ahead of the Funny games remake also.

A Bridge Too Far (1977) - 8.5/10.

Awesome WWII flick. Great ensemble cast.

He said that he doesn't think it will be anytime soon and even if it does there will be no place for him. He said he's not going to be the old man in the bait shop warning the teens that the cabin is haunted.

He could still play Ash!
