Bladerunner (1982) - 10/10.
One of the coolest flicks I've ever seen. Rutger Hauer plays one of the best villains ever. Hellboy 2: The Golden Army (2008) - 8/10. Cool action film. Definetly on par with the first. |
Zombie Strippers. Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Still bad, but pretty fun at the same time. Worth a rental at least.

I know when I read the book, I had to keep referring to the glossary they included in the back: http://soomka.com/nadsat.html You should read up on it and try watching it again in the future. |
The Midnight Meat Train - Loses a bit of it's steam toward the end, but all in all, it was everything I was expecting it to be, perhaps a bit more bleak though.

My last film I watched was Spanglish with Adam Sandler, it was on TV last night. I didn't see it all though as I only caught the last twenty minutes. It seemed okay, with a genuinely moving end that explores themes such as what it means to be a mother, something I can hardly relate to, but appreciate nonetheless. Adam Sandler is an interesting actor to watch, I like the way he shouts, it adds complexity to character. Sometimes it doesn't always pay off, like the time I played a mouthy Malvolio in the Twelth Night, I kept shouting and in the end the director replaced me as I refused to compromise my artistic vision and interpretation of Malvolio. Still, each his own hey. I'm off now for auditions for Tennessee William's Hat on a Hot Tin Roof - I've got all my digits crossed I get Brick. I've been reading a Robert De Niro biography and he has inspired me to try a bit of method acting so I might drink a bottle of wine before I go to auditions as Brick is often portrayed as an insular drunk repressed by homosexual feelings, something I definitely can relate to. Anyway, I'm off topic here. My last horror film I watched was Dawn of the Dead remake, it was okay but I didn't watch it all as Spanglish was on.

Thriller: A Cruel Picture - I enjoyed it. The plot and villain in the movie were pretty good for a 70s exploitation film. However, the overall acting and the action sequences were a little bit sub-par. 6/10
Full Metal Jacket: Amazing movie. I think Gunnery Sergeant Hartman is one of my favorite characters of all time. It was funny, sad, tense, violent, beautifully shot...a complete movie. Kubrick really is one of the greatest directors ever. 9.5/10 |

I finally got around to watching Silent Hill for the first time last night.
