Woah, I just saw that, too!

I streamed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre last night and strangely enough, today I was at Game Surge (game store down the street) and I saw it sitting on the shelf for like 5.99 so I of course had to buy it.

so I'm sure I'll watch it again before bed...whenever that will be

Here we go for another n00b. Classic horror is a TIME PERIOD. It doesn't refer to whatever movies you watched growing up 5 years ago. You don't get to redefine Classic Horror for this forum. If you will bother to look at the forum index you will see a description of what each forum covers. CLASSIC HORROR: Movies from the 1960s AND BEFORE. Movies from the 1970 onwards belong in the Modern Horror forum- regardless of what age the person posting may be.

'noob'? Seriously? You call me a 'noob' because of my age or post count but either of those shouldn't be a factor of what I think a classic horror movie is. Just because these forums say, 'CLASSIC HORROR: Movies from the 1960s AND BEFORE', doesn't mean I can't interpret what I see to be a classic. Sure, I made a simple mistake by posting something that doesn't follow the thread guidelines but insulting someone for their opinion isn't that mature. You're profile says you're 52 so you grew up with a different generation of what can be considered classic. What is classic to you may not be classic to someone who is, say 20. An honest mistake can be fixed by an easy reply or retort but why bring 'noob' status into the equation. Either you take this post count stuff too serious or you need to grow up and realize when something can be fixed and told with a solution rather than create another problem.

Saw 5 (2008)

Though I liked the 3rd trap but in general the traps were quite ordinary in compare to the earlier parts of the series. The tagline was "You won't believe how it ends"...yeah, it's kinda hard to believe that there would be a 'no twist ending' in a Saw movie. I think it's only likable for the genuine fans of the series, cause at least they didn't ruin anything..specially with the storyline and that's a good thing.

Eden Lake (2008)

http://images.rottentomatoes.com/ima...4/10010194.jpg

Nursery teacher Jenny and her boyfriend Steve, escape for a romantic weekend away. Steve, planning to propose, has found an idyllic setting: a remote lake enclosed by woodlands and seemingly deserted. The couple's peace is shattered when a gang of obnoxious kids encircles their campsite. Reveling in provoking the adults, the gang steals the couple's belongings and vandalizes their car leaving them completely stranded. When Steve confronts them, tempers flare and he suffers a shocking and violent attack. Fleeing for help, Jenny is subject to a brutal and relentless game of cat-and-mouse as she desperately tries to evade her young pursuers and find her way out of the woods.

Yeah..it was another survival horror flick like Them, Funny Games or The Strangers but with a more harsh & shocking ending which may successfully manage to anger you in a disturbing way. The young actor who played the ring leader of the repulsive group of loathsome kids quite stand out with his role. Though Jenny..the female lead character/victim also delivered a nice performance but somewhat annoyed me sometimes as her reactions or responses to the certain situations were questionable to me.
Overall the tension, the gore and the upsetting finale made it worth a watch.
