The Last Samurai: (Not Horror) I am also a sap.

Long Movie, but it's one of My overall top five in my list, on just what the movie made me feel, when I was capable of feeling, that is. Great Story !!!

SUBTITLES alittle reading there, well I guess if you don't know the languages.

Could have been better. The film reaches a point where it could have entered some really dark territory (more realistic) or it could have gone the eye-rolling, entertaining way - and the makers chose the latter.

Still, pretty entertaining.

Ditto; one of the very few good-fun slashers came out in recent times.

A pretty good post apocalyptic action flick, liked it.

Bloody great 'judgement time'! Feeling an urge to revisit Delta City.

Beasts of the Southern Wild (2012)

Ugh. Depressing and overrated.

It made me wonder if there's really communities like that in the south. Did you ever see "Conrack" with Jon Voight? It reminded me a lot of that movie.

Excellent. Recommended to all mystery/noir fans. Watch it for JGL's performance alone.

Last House On The Left (2009)

Oh my.. where to start, I hated this movie. I mean the first one wasn't brilliant.. but my god!

Anything they changed from the original was done badly, it was just a horrible horrible film. There were so many goofs it was embarrassing including making a point of looking for keys to a boat that doesn't need a key, and a scene at the end that makes no possible sense!

That said it must have sparked someone's interest because it should have been straight to video and instead went to cinema and it gets a 6.6 on IMDB.

I give it a generous 2. It's badly scripted, there's no suspense, you end up feeling more sorry for the bad guy and the end scene is enough to take away any credibility the movie ever had.

Hardy Bucks: The Movie
Predictably average - the boys were on the downward slop since getting a TV deal and this is just more of the same. I still laughed abit but the 4 cans of Druids helped..For completists only.

I agree - To be honest, I'm totally ignorant of that culture - No idea if there are really communities like that or not... And, really, I just couldn't identify with anyone... Not to say that I don't enough "Slice of Life" films outside of my current situation, but this one just depressed me and didn't do it for me.

Didn't see "Conrack" - Did you like it?

This almost reminded me a bit of "Tideland," though that was a LOT more depressing and significantly more f'd up.
