Well just dont forget who the original ScreamQueen was actress Fay Wray from KingKong 1933. The 2nd Scream Queen should be Helen Mack from the Kingkong sequel Son of Kong. most horror fans forgot about Helen. now Janet Leigh of the 1960 classic Psycho ranks 2nd best ScreamQueen. And daughter Jaime Lee Curtis became a ScreamQueen when she was in the 1978 movie Halloween.

Omen this is what I mean by good quality horror movies of the past. Lets take one of my fave horror movies of the 1970s that being The Omen in 1976. Most if not all horror fans consider that movie to be pretty awesome even today it still rocks. Now compare that movie to one made 2 years later titled Halloween. Halloween which is a very good thriller movie does not have the type of A list actors as the Omen and if you watch both movies the Omen is a far far better movie. Hell look at who is in the Omen Gregory Peck and Lee Remick talk about damn good actors Damn!! Of course Jamie Lee Curtis like her mother moved on to better movie roles and has become a very good actress. The other night Dracula 2000 was on tv and while I enjoy Dracula 2000 and its concept about Judist being Dracula. I dont think it has the best actors for a Dracula movie. Now if I watch Bram Stokers Dracula 1992 I will be 100% entertainded by that movie. Bram Stokers Dracula has excellent grade A actors and not only horror fans liked it all movie goers liked. There is no doubt about it Bram Stokers Dracula is one of those movies that really has the right stuff or the magic. Its real simple good actors+good script=good movie.

Gerard Butler is a great actor imo.

hmm I wouldnt call him great...but he fits very vell in that Freddy role :p

that's basicly what I was talking about since gojira keeps bashing slashers.

i second that ... he's a great freddie ... he isnt a great actor.

that's what I meant, I haven't even seen him in anything else but I want to see him in the slasher version of Phantom of the Opera.

yes i've seen him in small bad roles in small bad movies.
