why would they make a movie for Offspring before making a movie for its predecessor, Off Season?

Saw Evil Dead 2 for the first time. Excellent movie. Now I see how the movie went from the original to Army of Darkness.

I think someone other than those involved with Offspring own the film rights for that one. But I just read the other day that they have a director now for Off Season, not sure if that is a rumor or if that's a sure thing though.

Ever since I read the book i thought it would make an awesome movie. good thing they might be doing something with it.

Then again I also thought Cell would make a good movie until I saw that Eli Roth is gonna direct it.

You know, I think I have to go with the masses on this one...really wasn't crazy about it. It had potential, but the script was an absolute dud. Maybe if they'd ran it through another couple revisions it could have been good...but as is, it was pretty dumb.
