I actually own that one on DVD. Pretty much everything that happens in it is completely preposterous.
An incredibly entertaining watch.

My version was only VHS. Not that I think a DVD transfer would improve it an awful lot :D

This is one cool movie.
When I was a kid, I remember watching it the night it premiered on Disney, I think it was. I was so pumped about it. After that, I used to watch it at least five times every Hallowe'en season.
I've always wanted to pick up the book.

You really should. The book is amazing- of course- it's Bradbury. It's darker than the cartoon.

So many awful, memorable scenes.

the Strangers...

well... what can I say? It started off good, and then the ending... every post i have read so far was right. What a shit ending. Honestly, the movie started falling apart mid way through (I GET IT, they are sneaky... christ)

very disappointed.

damn. I was holding out for the dvd, hoping the extended/unrated/whatever would make it better :(

I watched Benny and Joon for the billionth time last night (Dereks first) I think I ruined it for him by reciting every line but he says it's cool.

same here. Nope. It really does everything right in the beginning, and you spend the first 2/3 with some great suspense, but then just DIES by the end.

Rogue ~ got kind of bored with this pretty quickly, though the croc looked pretty good, I'll give it that.

Fear House ~ not quite as bad as I was expecting, had the potential to be pretty decent I think, but in the end was just.....mediocre and sometimes a bit annoying.

I'm almost overdosing here. Since Friday I've watched:

Let the Right One In
Idiots and Angels
Mirage Man
Repo! The Genetic Opera
Donkey Punch
Brain Dead (Kevin Tenney's, not the classic)
Trailer Park of Terror
Red
4BIA
Netherbeast Inc.
Who is KK Downey?

Those were all at the After Dark Film Festival, on my own time I've sat through:

Midnight Meat Train
Return to Sleepaway Camp
Pulse 2

There goes my firm grip on reality. Oh well, reality's overrated.

Any questions?

Just one: when you completely crack, can you tell us if you see anything HP Lovecraft described? Or better still, take pictures :)
