Has anyone read David Wellington? His vampire series starting with 13 Bullets was amazing in about every way. And not a stereotypical vampire story at all.

I havne't, I will check it out though. In Wellingtons, the vampires there, all their teeth are sharp, they look like demons and they rip people's limbs off and suck blood from the stumps. Its pretty intense.

very true about king not being very graphic

Joe Hill also does an awesome graphic novel called Locke And Key. Worth a look. They did make a pilot for TV, but it didn't get picked up or something. :(

He also did (does) a graphic novel co-written with his dad. I think it's called Road Rage and looks like it's about Bikers, but I've not read it yet.

Hello all, new to the forum...posted a bit on B.D. but not a fan of their new forum at all. Been reading close to 2 books a week for the better part of 5 years now.

Currently reading - George RR Martin - A Storm of Swords. Not Horror, but fantastic none the less.

If you dig vampires, give Robert R McCammon's They Thirst a try. A truly under rated author IMO
