I'll add my two cents to this ol' thread!

Favorite beer is Lone Star, followed by Pearl, then PBR and Schlitz.
Favorite hard stuff is El Jimidor Tequila! Bring on the Jimi!
Favorite mixed drink is a "Texas Tea"... which is a Long Island with tequila dumped over the top to give it an extra kick. Had two of those lastnight at Chuy's. Damn good.

Since pics are fun... :D

Where ya from? You could probably be in the wilds of Borneo and still run across some mofo that has a PBR in his hut. :D

fortunato 06-28-2010 05:19 PM

Sam Adams Seeeeeeeasonal.

Good stuff.

newb 06-28-2010 06:39 PM

ha....been slumming it myself with PBR as of late. At $8:99 for an 18 pack...how can you beat it?

always throw in a couple of these lately
http://coolmaterial.com/wp-content/u...-Magic-Hat.jpg

a bit on the hoppy side but very good.

endo 06-28-2010 06:51 PM

If I'm drinking to savor the flavor, I'll go with a Sam Adams seasonal, or maybe Sierra Nevada or Flying Dog.

Drinking to get a buzz...Budweiser has always been my friend. Doesn't give me a hangover, and I like the taste. Maybe because it's the first beer I partied on as a teen.

Some hate it, I love it. Gets the job done as well.

A great bitter brew from an Indiana brewery.

novakru 07-08-2010 07:41 PM

Bought a sampler pack with a bunch of different Mill St brews. Wasn't expecting much from this, but decided to give it a shot...and its actually quite good. Really nice flavor.

Usually I prefer a stronger beer, but I'm pretty impressed with this one.

Another special offer from those nice people at Morrisons, and for a very reasonable £1 per 640 ml bottle :)

No longer a quid a bottle but I'm still supping it!

fortunato 09-21-2010 06:48 PM

It's almost that time of year...

http://www.fermentnation.com/pics/dogfishhead_punk.jpg

I usually wait until Oct. 1 to break out the pumpkin ales. They're tricky, but some of them are great. Pumpking is another great one.

What do you think, Newb?

nightmare_of _death 09-21-2010 07:30 PM

having this now! been sipping on it for about 3-4 hours (only 1 can)

I like the octoberfest more than the pumpkins. They tend to put too much "spice" in them. Although that Dog Fish Head one is pretty good.

Yeah, you have to be really picky with the pumpkin ales.
But yeah, soooo many good Oktoberfest brews.

ChronoGrl 09-29-2010 06:25 PM

A couple of girlfriends and I shared two bottles of sauvignon blanc at a sushi restaurant near work and then went to a dive bar and downed two Bud Lights.

...

DAMN I wish it wasn't a school night... :o

newb 09-29-2010 07:13 PM

Went up north for a mini-vacation and did partake in a fine New Hampshire brew

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...NoY5VLzqO-ny0=

Tuckerman Pale Ale

maybe more than one

ChronoGrl 10-20-2010 04:57 PM

Getting D R U N K (*cough* by myself *cough*) - Half a bottle of Siraz and now cracking a bottle of Mike's Light Hard Cranberry lemonade...

But WHAT I'm drinking doesn't matter...

It's the WHY...

I've had three (THREE!!!) phone interviews and this last one (who apparently has the "hiring power") essentially said that I was a "perfect fit" for the job A N D that she wants me to come in and meet the Team.

YAY

Here's the thing - This would be a PROMOTION (title change from "Business Analyst" to "SENIOR Business Analyst"), including a HUGE salary bump.

FUCK YEAH

neverending 10-20-2010 05:08 PM

Congrats Chrono- and good luck!

ChronoGrl 10-20-2010 05:13 PM

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

I can't really "publicize" it because I haven't told my manager about the interviews... But the fact of the matter is, I've been a Contractor for a year now with no opportunities for hire... And this new place WOULD be perm AND a promotion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

I'm really excited - It sounds really interesting and challenging (really dorky too - it's a database marketing company) AND closer to my apartment. heeeeee

Of course, I'm still in the interview phase, but this last interview went REALLY well. So I'm feeling pretty confident about it.

Despare 10-20-2010 05:53 PM

More port wine, I'm really getting into port after having my first a month or so ago. Killians is still keeping cold in the fridge and may stay there, it's about time for some pumpkin ales I think!

fortunato 10-20-2010 07:15 PM

Holy smokes! Congratulations, Chrono!
Best of luck, of course.

newb 10-20-2010 07:46 PM

Yeah good luck to ya Chrono

I'll drink to that
