Rambo: First Blood Part II

Not bad at all, I enjoyed it. Not as good as First Blood, but good in it's own way.

Wicker Man
If the remake is going to do ANY justice to this movie they really have to keep all the surreal musical numbers and dances.

Hahahahaha, how did I go so long without seeing this fantastic movie? A friend of mine showed me the opening credits awhile bac and I knew I had to see the rest...easily one of the funniest movies Ive ever seen:D :D

The Swamp castle guards were my favourite part, if I have to pick just one:D

Yellow Jacket 07-15-2006 07:04 PM

Now, I've seen a shitload of movies since I've been gone, so I'm only going to post some of them.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest- 4/5

Superman Returns- 3.5/5

Nacho Libre- 2/5

Cars- 4/5

Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift- 3.5/5

Click- 4/5

Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction- 0.5/5

The Matador- 5/5

Cache- 5/5

The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things- 0/5

The Libertine- 1.5/5

I think I might've seen some more movies in theaters, but I'm not so sure (this seems about right for the past few weeks). I'll have my ratings of Little Man and You, Me, and Dupree tomorrow after I see them tomorrow morning.

Elvis_Christ 07-15-2006 07:17 PM

The second disc of Gantz.... now I have to wait till next week for the other parts to arrive. I probably should've waited till I had them all cause now I'm in mid story limbo :)

American Beauty: I hate this movie. I used to be really into stuff like this a couple of years back, now it just annoys me. I dunno this movie sucks after you've watched Happiness. I really hate the plastic bag bit  ......still this does have a few cool moments and Kevin Spacey is always good value. Worse shit could've been on TV last night :) not something I'd own.

Dead Leaves: Pretty strange whacked out anime. Weird. Dumb. Cool. If you get what I mean? I enjoyed it tho.

crabapple 07-15-2006 07:21 PM

"THE MONSTERS CRASH THE PAJAMA PARTY" got another spin in the DVD machine today. It's one of my favorite pieces of trash...basically just a fun laugh fest, it's not even trying to be a good movie. But that's what's neat about it. Very silly.

Dave Chappelle's Block Party

This was alright, but nothing earth shattering. Basically, it was like a couple back to back episodes of his show, minus the sketches. So what we're left with is a lot of Dave just kicking it and several hip hop acts. It was entertaining and if you're a Chappelle fan, it's worth checking out, but like I said, nothing earth shattering.

Vampires: The Turning

Mediocre acting, preatty lame script, minimal gore and little too much karate action for a vampire flick make this one to put on the 'Dont bother' list. I wasn't really impressed with any aspect of this film, but it wasn't the worst vampire film I've ever seen either. It just didn't float my boat. The vampire subculture of Thailand has potential as a cool plot, but this wasn't executed properly.
