yeah... i have been watching tons of lower budget horror films that have been shot in the last few years.. and nothing is holding up.. I liked that it is was shot during the day for the most part.. ( a budgetary thing, but it still had an effect) ... I liked the very first killing scene because I didn't think the first sister was going to die.. other than that it was crap, but fuck it.. I watched the whole thing..

Pineapple Express - B- , not as funny as their other movies.
Mulberry St. - Crap, A rat zombie movie with decent attacking, but no scares what so ever..

I'm with despare. Good performances, some good dialogue, but that's about it.

i had watched this one quite some time ago and forgot to post about it.

la rivière du hibou (an occurrence at owl creek bridge) (1962)

a wonderful short film based off of the ambrose bierce story of the same name.
well-acted, well-paced, the composition is lush and dream-like...

...which is appropriate.

the bad thing here was that the netflix disc has an absolutely horrendous transfer on it. the picture is muddy, sometimes beyond recognition, the audio is filled with pops and hisses, which are often louder than the dialogue and sound.
however, that is a testament to the film itself. despite a wretched transfer, it was still incredibly enjoyable.

Dirty work

a Norm MacDonald film I've been looking for for ages - found it yesterday in a cheap bin.

still made me laugh ... actually everything Norm MacDonald does and says makes me laugh.
