Speaking of trash...

Devil's Nightmare, 1971 Belgian horror film. Good, not great, trashy slasher with some supernatural elements. I liked it.

Whatever is right.
Opinions are like assholes.
Everybody has one.
Everybody thinks their own is the only one on the planet that doesn't stink.
Most people don't want to hear anybody else's asshole, and the same applies with their opinions.
Of course, it's okay to flaunt your opinion, but not your asshole.
People are funny sometimes.

Venom - Trash.

Candyman: Farewell To The Flesh - I love the Candyman character so I enjoyed this film. Nowhere near as good as the OG, though.

Dominion: A Prequel To The Excorsist - Just as bad as "Excorsist: The Beginning".

V for Vendetta...cool fighting scenes...but they should had made it darker...

tarcher80 07-06-2006 05:34 AM

i'm not naming anyone, but somebody sent me a private message... and in that message they suggested i watch "an american werewolf in paris" b/c they thought is was better than "an american werewolf in london." we have a pretty good dialogue on this site (i'd like to think), but i'm crying blasphemy on this one...

i'm pretty sure it's accurate for the type of people represented in the film.

i work in an corporate office environment and i hear far worse than that daily.

urgeok 07-06-2006 06:16 AM

last seen : Toolbox Murders (remake)

having never seen the origional i have no idea how this stacks up.

i found it to be just another 80's slasher movie .. boring undeveloped characters i couldnt care less about, poor performances, badly written dialogue, ho-hum gore, and a childish story.

pretty poor effort - did nothing to rejuvinate the genre.

Love that Phillip Glass Soundtrack... I think you could put that in any shit movie and make it bearable. They should have put it in Gili.

Yeah, but I even think Panic Room was unnessessary (lmao i cannot spell that word) with language. However, Running Scared, yes it was in character, and a good movie, but it just doesn't need that much if you ask me.

well for fucks sakes, there's no fucking pleasing some fucking people !

joshaube 07-06-2006 10:24 AM

Fuck this fucking cunt-filled shit. The amount of fucking swearing in a movie is no fucking deal, jesus christ. It doesn't fucking matter how much fucking swearing there is a jesus-fucked-mary-in-the-asshole movie. It's a movie and it fucking needs to be there because they are fucking characters and if they fucking want to fucking swear then they can fucking GO RIGHT THE FUCK AHEAD!

But honestly, it would have been sad if there was no language, or even if they toned it down. If you were in that situation, I'm sure you would find time to swear incoherent even more so then they do here.

I like a good movie, this is true. But I can enjoy a bad movie just as much...and sometimes more!

Like "Dracula vs. Frankenstein" (the Al Adamson film). It's great! It's not just bad. It's beyond bad. But it's so entertaining, so cringe-inducing.

that's the thing... i watched monster dog as a kid and liked it just b/c it was about werewolves. i wish i hadn't watched again b/c now i have a bad memory instead of a good one. i thought it would be mindless fun, but it ended up pissing me off: THE DUBBING!!!! why did they dub alice cooper??? THE WEREWOLF!!! did they not have enough in the budget to sick a guy in a suit??? i guess not b/c all we get is a fucking puppet head. for all my complaining there were a few good scenes: the guy getting his head blown-off (always funny) and the scene where cooper's girlfriend sees the werewolf in the picture (that actually was erie). i enjoy movies that are so bad they're good, but this is not one of them. I just watched Toy Story 2. Pretty funny stuff, the blooper reel at the end is pretty cute.

The_Return 07-06-2006 01:01 PM

Just watched Black Cat (2004). Not a very well known Poe adaption, but it was still pretty good. It tired pretty hard to be smart, but the ending really let me down. I was expecting more from it after a pretty good build up. If you happen to come across this movie somewhere I recomend seeing it, but I wouldnt go out of my way to get a copy.

John Cleese's peronal best.

Patch of Blue
I expected a saccharin story of triumph but got a well written and acted movie that I really enjoyed. Elizabeth Hartman's performance was good but Shelley Winters and Sidney Poitier's were great. Timeless.

slasherman 07-07-2006 05:18 PM

Maniac Cop...cool b-movie...if I remember right the second was better...soon Maniac Cop 2

Heavy Metal 2000:

Really cool considering the bad reveiws I've read. The use of CGI in this really sucked tho (mainly on spaceships and explosions). The graphic novel of this is better but this is still a decent watch and I really enjoyed it.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Miss Olivia 07-07-2006 10:02 PM

The Chronicles of Narnia. Very Disney.
I liked it okay, though. It's amazing, though, how they can have a huge war with no blood. Disney should plan all our wars.

Sick_As_Fuck 07-08-2006 01:14 AM

Necronomicon - Pretty damn corny. Nothing more.

Jacob Singer 07-08-2006 02:04 AM

THe big red one. I'm not a big fan of belic films but I realy like it this one.

The_Return 07-08-2006 03:52 AM

The Seventh Seal - I dunno, it was kinda over my head. It was very good, but I didnt get alot of it.

Bubba Ho-Tep - Great movie, one of my favourites. Bruce's best role since Evil Dead 2.

Watched The Tale of Two Sisters the other day. It was pretty good, but I really had to pay attention because it was really deep.

Just finished the 9th boxed set of MST3K. I discovered the show just a few years before it went off the air, so a lot of the boxed set releases contain episodes I never got to see. This one was good and well worth the investment.
