Hard to say without knowing what you've already seen. You seem to have an appreciation for the great directors and great drama. If you haven't seen Goodfellas, check that out. For a war drama, try The Onion Fields.

For classic horror, I recommend Corman's Poe adaptations- House of Usher, Tomb of Liegea. Vincent Price in The Witchfinder General.

Bizarre sci-fi/horror from the 60s- X- The Man With X-Ray Eyes.

To steal a recommendation from Alky- Peeping Tom.

Checked out Kurosawa? Start at the top with Ran, or try a lesser known Dodes Kaden.

Quirky comedy- Harold & Maude, one of my all time favorite films.

Altman's Nashville

Just some things off the top of my head.

Yeah,i'm pretty open to anything.

I've seen things like Goodfellas, all 3 of the Godfather films,Dog Day Afternoon,National Lampoons Animal House,The Exorcist,Freaks(one of my favorite movies),Some classic movies and alot of modern movies.I pretty much liked all of them. Thanks for the suggestions,I'll get right on it.:)

At times i thought it would pick up, there would be intense music, and the camera would pan over some mountains...and that was it. Anti-climactic. The scenes of conflict between Daniel Day and Paul Dano were awesome, could have used some more of that. everything in between felt like random, uneventful scenes strung together. The ending was worth sitting through the entire 3 hours however.

Still think the title is misleading. no blood in the literal sense, I suppose its in a metaphorical sense, but i still didnt see it.

i won't argue that it wasn't slow-paced, because it was. that was the point, i felt. the lack of physical action was filled with a brooding tension, and the fact that there was so much going on beneath the surface. you have a man descending into madness, essentially, drilling for oil in the middle of nowhere. for a sparse tale like that, i thought the pacing was perfect.

as for the promise of blood, it's quite literal too:

****SPOILER!!!********

when plainview bashes eli's head in with a bowling pin, there's quite a sizable pool of blood gathering right next to daniel as he's sitting down on the bowling lane.

The Dark Knight - Viewing #2

Do I even need to say anything? I loved it just as much this time as the first, if not even more so.

Enjoyed Maroni's scenes a lot more this time...he kind of blended in on the initial viewing, but this time I really noticed just how awesome he was. He's obviously overshadowed by Ledger - just like everyoine else, and deservedly so - but he still gives a great performance. Lots of fun.

Wife: Cant we go some place quieter? We cant even hear each other talk!
Maroni: Who says I wanna hear you talk?

To Be or Not to Be (1942)

Fantastic. I'll always proclaim Jack Benny as the greatest comedian to ever grace the planet.

Big (1988)

It had been awhile, and I wanted my sister to see it.

White Cargo
(1942)

It sounded interesting, but it ended up being only vaguely so.
