This next award goes to a well deserving poster.
Some people think it foolish to consider an "internet forum" as a community...the dictionary definition of community reads thusly: " a social, religious, occupational, or other group sharing common characteristics or interests and perceived or perceiving itself as distinct in some respect from the larger society within which it exists (usually prec. by the): the business community; the community of scholars."
In my many years of "surfing" the internet and joining horror site after site....then abandoning them because they don't feel like "a community"...until I found HDC. No other site feels more like a community than this one. And its because of people like the recipient of this next award.
His post are insightful, helpful, and well thought out. Sure he does post some gibberish once in a while.....but its all in good fun. He never goes out of his way to "start bullshit"....something this site has had its share of.But even through all the bullshit that we have had to endure , we keep on coming back. And I credit posters like our next recipient.
Some may scoff at this next comment...so be it...but I really do consider him a "friend". Through the years we have traded dvd's and had conversation outside of HDC.......and I'm pretty sure if I was to ever make the trek to his hometown, he would welcome me with open arms and point me towards the nearest MOTEL 6. [as long as it was near a liquor store...I'm good with that. ]
Also, this next recipient, has a gift that I'm not sure you are all aware of........give him the name of an actress [ nothing too recent ] and he can tell you in what movie she has appeared nekkid.......I kid you not....its a wonderful gift.
So without further ado...it is with great honor..that I present this years very prestigious "HDC HALL OF FAME" award.......to....my brother from another mother....and another country....URGEOK
