The Dark Knight.

I am totally, utterly blown away! Whoa...one of THE most fantastic flicks I ll ever have the honor of watching! Before starting on anything, I MUST give due credit to Aaron Eckhart for holding his own in what would have been otherwise a totally snubbed and watered-down role. Very good work, Aaron.

Now, for Heath Ledger. The whole Hollywood fraternity has lost an awesome talent - because his Joker is out of this world! It was exactly how Bob Kane would have visualised his modern Joker to be...gritty, grotesque and psychotic to the level of paranoia.

And for those of you who thought Jack's Joker could never be surpassed, I can safely say this - you were wrong. Jack got OWNED by Heath. Utterly. Totally. (Oscar indeed!)

Christian Bale is his usual self, carrying both Bruce and Bats with equal ease. He looked a bit uncomfortable as Bruce in sparse moments (not gonna spoil it), but he was on par as the best Batman on-screen yet. Gary Oldman did a competent job as usual, and I thought Maggie Gyllenhaal was totally un-necessary and un-needed.

Chris Nolan, take a bow. You might have made THE most faithful and flawless superhero flick in the history of Hollywood cinema yet. There is no way ANYONE can surpass this one, in terms of sheer quality and entertainment. It was such an overwhelming experience for me that I was applauding when the end credits rolled...without realising that 2 and half hours had passed!

OK.....I lied....haven't seen it yet...but I have MUCH Bat envy.....my son went to the midnight show last night and has proclaimed it as "The Best Movie He Has Ever Seen"

maybe I will watch an episode of the old series....just to wet my appetite.

I've got a riddle for you! Whose going to make the feathers fly and knock Batman and Robin out of the sky?

The Mothman 07-18-2008 08:48 PM

das Komabrutal Duell - Second half - notable moments. (these are only the best ones, there are far too many other good ones to mention.)

dude got his wang shot off. shoots blood like a waterhose from his crotch for about 60 seconds

random zombies come out of nowhere and start stabbing people. zombie lady gets boob blown off.

One armed dude rips zombies arm off, then rips it's chest out.

guy uses some sort of water pump to steal blood from his friend and pump it into his arm.

pregnant lady gets belly stabbed and twins ripped out, then stomped on. omfg!

anyone who says Premutos is the goriest movie next to dead alive is wrong. this one takes the cake!

Mark Hamill actually did that... but Heath's is by far the best.

Underdog's not a superhero. All dogs can do that. They're just lazy.

As a voice. Ha.

Ledger is going down in movie history, guys. I am sure even Jack would have bowed before that performance.
