Road Kill / Road Train (MILD SPOILERS) -

Someone here reviewed this recently and I'm fairly certain gave it a bad review. But they mentioned pointless sex scene and I searched for it on IMDB anyway. Go figure.

I saw Sophie Lowe in it, the actress who was in that cancelled Once Upon a Time spinoff. Georgina Haig who was in Fringe, is going to be in Once Upon a Time this coming season, and is a pretty blonde girl. And Bob Morley, the bad but some times good guy in The 100. I figured why not? What a mistake. This is a horrible movie and I fell asleep halfway in it was so stupid. I watched the second half the next night. I wanted to like Georgina Haig's character just because she's pretty. But she plays such a bad character. Why the whole group are even friends is beyond me. I can see how Bob Morley got the role in The 100, it's kind of close to his role in this movie. He cheats with his friend's girlfriend, Georgina Haig's character. For some reason, the friend forgives him which no guy would do. I would get upset if my friend drank out of my glass, forget sleeping with my girlfriend. Yet this friend in the movie doesn't really forgive Georgina Haig even though they are still I guess together. Even stranded in the middle of the desert this guy pores out all her water. So if he has that level of hated why even pretend to be together? And of course even though Georgina Haig's character acts upset about cheating, what she really wants is to be with the guy she cheated with. Which we can sort of see in the opening. But she slips and says it near the end in case we missed it. Not that it even matters as the whole thing is just a bad soap opera with below average people in a horror format.

Yes this is supposed to be a horror movie. Yet it's not scary and doesn't even come close to being in the same league as Duel. All it does is show how talented Steven Spielberg was at an early age compared to the people that made this garbage. It's one thing to have a demon truck. But for some reason there is a house where I guess the demon truck sometimes parks at, unloads its blood fuel, and cans it for unsuspecting visitors. Georgina Haig's character stumbles on to it. That was when I fell asleep the first time watching the movie. The idea of a demon truck itself isn't bad either. It could be really scary. I'm getting good ideas now. But this movie is so far away from good it's not even funny.

Notice how I don't remember the names of any of the characters in the movie. They just didn't matter. The only thing I got out of this movie is that Australian roads are I guess vacant once you leave the cities. And that large trailers are called "Road Trains" over there. Which is the movie's alternate title. Avoid at all costs.

Interesting concept of the dybbuk, and had a few effective scares. The concept was a bit weak with plotholes, and Odette (Yustman) Annable was not a great choice for the lead.

As things stood, her cameltoe was the highlight of the film. Apparently the makers couldn't have enough of it either.

If you went for the poster you got what you deserved. The movie itself was shockingly bad. Especially with some of the supporting actors and others involved.

Hmm - So Haunter and The Caller are the types of movies that you don't want to describe too much, you know? I wouldn't want to give too much away...

With Haunter, it centers around a girl who is being haunted but - by what? Maybe the ghosts that used to live in her house - Maybe she's one of them...

With The Caller - A girl receives a phone call. And it goes from there. And, no, it's not the urban legend of the call coming from inside the house.

I'm going to check out The Caller. It's probably on my list since Rachelle Lefevre is in it and it's horror.

I had this movie lying around for a couple of years but this was the first time I saw it. Even though it's a horror comedy, the horror element was certainly present for me, since I have bit of a thing when it comes to bugs.
Anyway, it was a pretty good horror comedy.
The acting is better than average, special effects are alright, movie has a nice pace, story's good enough,...
Accordinding to Wiki it was supposed to be the first part in a trilogy but I think those plans are cancelled. Too bad...

Red 2

Hilarious action film, very enjoyable and fast paced... and Malkovich was brilliant and wow Mary-Louise Parker is hot

Fascinating premise but missing the wow factor. A tad too slow for my taste as well. Good to see all the oldies together (except for Damon, he never grows old does he?), but as it stands, it could have been better, considering that the subject is a real orgasmic one for art lovers.

Father & son in a Back To The Future scenario together! Problem wasn't with the obvious low-brow effort, but with the actors and the underwhelming sequences. The child of The Sixth Sense and A.I. was much better than the man now.

Fubar (2002)

Fun fake documentary.
I'm sure some people will find this annoying but I can appreciate the silly, stupid humour.
Also helps if you like hard rock/heavy metal.

Baron, if you liked "Fubar", you might enjoy "American Movie" 1999. It follows slacker Mark Borchardt's arduous attempt at filming an indie horror film.
I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Can't find a download.
Netflix is coming over here next year. Maybe they'll have it.
But thanks for the tip! Didn't know that movie.

Similar to the first one but this has more of a storyline and a better pace.
