This is such an underrated and creepy little gem. (**MINOR SPOILER**) Everytime I heard the knocking from outside the submarine, I got the creeps...the atmosphere was maintained exquisitely throughout the movie. The direction is top-notch, as is the script.

The only complaint anyone could have would be with the pacing, which left something to be desired. But the last 20-odd minutes are fast...and it ends with a shot which is hauntingly and bewitchingly odd, which lingers in the memory long after the movie is over.

Recommended to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

R-Point.
It was good at places but largely predictable. I liked it though.

The Ringu saga gets very stretched in this film. Bland and lacking creativity.
