Sector B:

NE's body was twisted. He had used up his last HP and he felt the spasms coming over quickly. Someone grabbed his collar and pulled him out of the river. NE opened one eye and squinted from the glare of the sun. A voice boomed in his ears.

"Don't worry, NE, I got your back!"

He then felt himself being turned around, and all his wounds being patched up by 4 HPs. A bunch were then thrust into his HP bag. NE turned, grimacing in pain.

DEMON SEED stood above him. "You know, for a grumpy old man you sure have a lot of fight in your body."

NE nodded weakly and fell back into the sand.

"Good Luck," DS whispered.

"Where the BLOODY HELL are you, DS?" a voice boomed from the trees.

"Coming!" DS yelled back, and ran ahead.

A pair of intense, gleaming eyes watched DS recede from the scene. DANTE'S INFERNO stood up from between the trees, and made sure DS was really gone, before lifting his Launcher up. He aimed straight at NE's head, who was resting on the bank.

HISSS!! HISSS!!

Both rockets tore a path through the air, and exploded right in front of NE's face.

BOOM!! BOOM!!

NE's brains only remembered the explosion as he was hurtled backwards. His face and body was all black and chapped up, covered in burns and boiling wounds with HPs. NE fell heavily near the river again, a feeble hand grabbing at the HPs with him. He used up all the remaining 9 HPs given to him by DS and lay back, SLIGHTLY WOUNDED, bleeding silently and curses raging through his mind inbetween huge spasms of blinding pain.

DESPARE heard the explosions further to the right of him. He spotted Dante's high fiving into the air in delight, and followed his gaze. NE lay back on the sands beside the river, a bloody mess. Despare picked up his Launcher, and aimed.

HISSS!!!

The rocket was onto NE in a flash, and exploded right before him.

BOOM!!

The impact threw NE back into the river, whose water was reddened for an instant. NE's body broke out in fresh spasms as he coughed up blood, the river washing him away.

Sector C:

Someone yanked NE out of the water again. He was bleeding in torrents, his body in the throes of spasmic activity as he strugged to stay alive. A bunch of HPs were quickly applied to his various wounds, and NE breathed easier again.

DISEASE let out a sigh of relief. He knew he had pulled NE back from the jaws of certain death. Just then, Disease heard soft footfalls from very near him and, taken by extreme surprise and alarm, he jumped up and ran into the bushes ahead. In doing so, Disease dropped a HP near NE.

NE was breathing heavily, but slowly getting back to normal again. He didnt hear the footsteps, and sat quietly, letting the HPs heal his broken-up body. He spotted the HP on the ground in front of him and made a motion to grab it. Just then, a pair of hands reached down to stop him and pulled him back.

The hand picked up the HP from the ground, and brought out another bunch of HPs with it. All 6 of them were stuffed into NE's bag. NE looked up at the new saviour. ROSHIQ grinned back at him.

NE tried to say something, but all he managed was a weak croak. Roshiq propped him back on the tree and looked around. Spotting something or someone in the distance, Roshiq's eyes widened. He looked left and right quickly, and disappeared from where he had come.

For NIGHTMARE OF DEATH came through the trees, holding the huge Rocket Launcher in front of him. She spotted NE propped up near the tree, and lifted her Launcher up. She aimed carefully, and fired.

HISSS!! HISSS!!

Both rockets hurled at tremendous speeds, and exploded in a huge continuous impact around NE's body, which became a mangled and black mess of flesh and dark, thick blood. NE's almost torn and flailed limbs were opened up with wounds everywhere, and the last 6 HPs in NE's bag worked a losing battle over his wounds. Ne sighed deeply once, and let himself go near the edge of the tree. His body rolled down the slope heavily, and he landed in-between a bunch of red bushes, spasming uncontrollably again.

Sector D:

GOREPHOBIA heard the leaves on the forest floor rustle on his left. He quickly motioned to PAPILLON NOIR to be quiet, and moved forward cautiously. He stopped when he saw a figure dragging itself towards the trees, and was delighted in recognising him.

NEVERENDING! Now's my chance! Gore thought happily. Noir moved silently to his side, and watched the spectacle ahead too.

Both of them grabbed at their Launchers, and aimed at NE. NE was bleeding profusely, on the verge of collapsing. Even if he heard the rockets, he didnt do anything to delay the inevitable.

HISSS!! HISSS!! HISSS!!

BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!

THREE rockets exploded right beside NE, and his right arm and leg were torn clean off his body. His chest burst open into a huge torrent of thick, red blood and broken ribs and bones, as his brains frantically tried to scramble all the intense blinding pain sensations which wracked through it. NE's eyes widened for an instant, as his body hit the ground heavily, then rolled over. His brains were covered in bright light for an instant, before slowly shutting down into darkness.

DIABLO SLAYER NEVERENDING IS DEAD!!!!!



Both Gore and Noir let out loud whooping cries of delight and high fived each other. But, unknown to both of them, a pair of intense, brooding green eyes blazed at them from the top of a tree for an instant, and then disappeared.


THRACKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!


Gore never had a chance. The plasma beam came hurtling through the trees and blasted through his chest, leaving a big, yawning hole in it which sizzled with burning flesh. Gore opened his mouth wide, and slumped to the ground quietly.


CARNAGE KNIGHT GOREPHOBIA IS DEAD!!!!!


Noir whirled. She saw the big man fall from the corner of her eyes, and followed the beam upwards. A trio of red dots fell across her body, and she felt a sudden surge of sheer fear shake her body.


THRACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!


Noir swerved at the last moment. The plasma beam caught her right on her shoulder as she fell on one side. Her left shoulder was almost torn clean off her body, as she let out a loud groan and grabbed at her HPs. 15 of them saved her, as the Predator moved out from the tree.


FREAK stood on one side, listening to the forest sounds. He had followed some footprints to this spot, and they had disappeared. He looked around carefully and spotted nothing the first time. The second time, he noticed the bushes parted on his left, and moved forward.

I almost didnt see this hidden cave, he thought. Standing on the left, he could barely make out a figure in the shadows inside the cave. Taking no chances, he lifted his Launcher and aimed.

HISSS!!! HISSS!!!

Both rockets burned the air in their instantenous journey into the cave. Just a moment before they exploded, Freak saw the face of his enemy.

BOOM!! BOOM!!

DUDE GUADALUPE flew backwards. Both rockets had blown the floor in front of him and he fell heavily on the floor. He quickly grabbed at his HPs, just as a trio of red dots zoomed in on Freak's back.


THRACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!


Freak yelped in pain and roared. The plasma beam had ripped his right thigh apart. Luckily for him, he had taken a step forward to look at Dude the moment the Predator had fired, so he took the blow on his thigh. Freak fell heavily in front of the cave, and reached for his HPs. The eyes on top of the tree glowed for an instant, and then disappeared.

It was a good run. I'm glad I was able to last longer this time. The most trustworthy members of this team gave their all in this round. I commend those of you who showed courage, and were in the thick of the battle- and not cowering in some hidden location holding on to your precious HP.

That Predator is brutal! Sorry Gore. :(

Despare walked forward in urgency. Soon he crossed his sector and reached Paul The Monk.

"We need to find NE. And fast," Despare said.

"I think the river took him straight forward. Come with me," Paul indicated to Despare and both of them hurried into the trees.


Roshiq looked around hurriedly. He had a hunch he was near someone but didnt know which way to move ahead to. Just then, a sudden burning smell hit his nostrils. He smelled the air long and hard, and moved towards the source. Soon, he came across the unconscious Chrono and leaned over her. He then peeked into her HP bag, and pulled 5 HPs out from his own bag. Stuffing them into her bag, Roshiq departed from where he had come.


Paul and Despare came through the trees, and looked around. A smell of burning clothes and flesh hit both their noses instantly. Paul moved to the left, slowly. Soon, he came through the clearing where Chrono lay, stirring back to her senses. Roshiq's movements had caused her brains to wake up, but she was waking up at a very wrong time. Paul looked back at Despare, and motioned ahead.

Despare moved forward quickly. He was beside Paul in a flash, and both of them lifted their Launchers together.

HISSS!!! HISSS!!!

Both had ONE rocket each left, and both let it fly almost simultaneously.

BOOM!! BOOM!!

Both rockets exploded mercilessly near Chrono. She was lifted in the air and thrown away by the impact, her chest bursting out into a big, gaping red wound which vomited blood. By the time Chrono hit the ground, she was bleeding profusely. She grabbed all her remaining 10 HPs and patched herself fully. She had survived an intense and gruelling outing in the Zone, and made it out by the skin of her teeth, fully FIT.


Elsewhere, Dude had gone out of the shelter of the cave. He had patched himself up and was looking for a new place to hide. But unfortunately for him, he wandered right into a clearing where Noir lay, heavily breathing and recuperating from the Predator's blast. Noir looked at Dude who was approaching from afar, and lifted her Launcher up. Fighting back severe jolts of pain, Noir aimed carefully.

HISSS!!!

Dude heard the rocket but couldnt do anything to move out of its way.

BOOM!!!

The impact sent Dude reeling. His wounds opened up again, and he started coughing blood from them. He grabbed at his HPs hastily, and patched himself again. Noir sighed deeply once, and dumped her empty Launcher away.
