there's something like that one the House of 1000 corpses dvd, if you let the menu screen sit for a few seconds Captain Spaulding keeps coming out saying stuff like ''pick one of these damn options or imma come over there and stick my boot in ya ass'' f'n hilarious.

Vodstok 02-10-2005 09:06 AM

The best part of House of 1000 corpses was the dvd menu. We let it play until he started repeating shit. fucking funny....

Welll, Shit the bed, what the Fuck are you doin here?"

Oh, i see... Then i dig it!;)

Last movie seen: "Boogeyman".

Not great but ok i guess.

42ndStreetFreak 02-10-2005 05:00 PM

The ever wonderful "The Wild Geese".
Superb cast, great charcters, top notch acting all round, intelligent and engaging plot, wonderful score by Roy Budd yet again, violent, ruthless, bleak, cynical and yet with some well judged sadonic humour.

majorbludd 02-10-2005 09:21 PM

i made it about 15 minutes into "open water" the acting is horendous...its a shame that its a true story and these yuppies live....on a more positive note.....friday night lights was incredible...i know alot of yous dont care for sports movies much im sure...

AUSTIN316426808 02-11-2005 12:50 AM

just finished clicking back and forth between Mission to Mars and Godzilla 2000. Didn't see much of Godzilla though because I was mainly watching Mission to Mars and they kept going to commercial at the same time.

Mission to Mars was ok,but it got really weird in the last 15 minutes, I wouldn't go outta my way to watched it again but it was mildly entertaining.

urgeok 02-11-2005 03:16 AM

i finally watched a movie last night ...
De-Lovely - The Cole Porter Story with Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd.
Not going to be a popular movie with the folks on this forum - thats for sure.

I liked it .. there is something about these songwriters and big band leaders that i find interesting ...

one thing i did find distracting was that every time there was a musical number a 'name' was singing it .. so you started anticipating who the next one would be ..(elvis costello, cheryll crow, etc)

well acted movie and the music was great if you like that kind of thing - which i do.

sounds like something I would like,I always like movies about musicians and musicals in general Temptations, the Kevin Spacey movie which I don't recall the name of at the moment,Phantom of the Opera ect. ect. I'll look for it next time I go out.

AUSTIN316426808 02-11-2005 04:26 AM

the Kevin Spacey movie I was talking about is called Beyond The Sea, just remembered.

And speaking of Kevin Spacey he's playing Lex Luthor in Superman Returns which starts production sometime in March, guess it should make it's cinematic appearance summer '06.

that's who sung that, my grandmother used to listen to it all the time I used to like it alot myself, can't remember much of the words though I know the first part goes ''oh, the shark babe, has such teeth dear, and it shows them pearly white. Just a jackknife has old macheath, babe...and it keeps it, ah...out of sight.''

Beneath the Sea is a great tune as well..

I like that one too.

''Fly me to the moon
let me sing among those stars
let me see what spring is like
On jupiter and mars''

don't think I've heard Beneath the Sea, is that Sinatra too?

The_Return 02-11-2005 07:48 AM

I cant understand why everyone hates Catwoman so much. I watched it last night, expecting a piece of shit...but it was a damn good superhero movie, IMO. Sure, it strayed a tad from her original story, but who cares? It was still a pretty good movie.

This morning, I watched a movie by who I consider to be the best director on the face of the earth. Tim Burton's awesome "Mars Attacks!". Wow that was a cool movie! Pretty good acting too, espec. Nicholson:)

you'll know that one too when you hear it .. its kind of a standard in movies portraying the 50's .. usually during a scene at a school dance or something like that.
