Enchanted. I was really surprised, I liked it, and not a little. Having a 2 year old girl has made me very familiar with the disney princess movies. This had a nice self-aware tongue in cheek feel that made even the musical numbers tolerable.

Patrick Dempsy was agreat straight man. And I could not get past the irony of the sweet innocent princess being played by the slut from Drop Dead Gorgeous. :D

Mr Magoriums Wonder Emporium.

hmmm ... uneven at best.
Mostly a pretty bland film with a few flashes of well written poignant dialogue shining through - but those moments were too few and far between to save this film.

it tried to be a far more important film than it was and failed.

the focus was all over the place - whenever there was something important to be explored - it would shoot off on another direction.

a better filmmaker/writer could have turned this into far more than a Charlie and the chocolate factory wannabe.

was put off by the music and the opening title sequence as well.

American Beauty

gorgeous film.
Kevin Spacey plays a very likeable asshole.

GRINDHOUSE....on Starz.....this really is the only way to see these movies....even at home it had the drive-in feel.
