The Beyond (1981)

In this god damn version of dvd, most of the gore scenes have been edited or 'deleted'! like...when the tarantula attacks (just when they started to bite), when Dicky was about to attack Emily, when the zombie plumber just grab Martha's face.. and so on..:( But surprisingly the dvd contains a music video and some footages of David Warbeck & Fulci's interview in a press conference in its extra features!

Is it the only copy/version of the film available on dvd?
Guess that's a bitch if so...can't say I've ever seen it, but I'm interested, and I've only ever heard good things.

I watched a movie I recently picked up for $1 on vhs.
Now, I'd seen this movie when I was about 11, and hadn't thought about it in AGES - I remember I thought it was interesting, not much more.
Now it IS A movie with Meryl Streep, which in general I wouldn't usually hold in highest regard in terms of my personal taste, but this one always grabbed me.
It's called "Defending your life" and the majority of the film takes place in the first stages of ones afterlife.
It's a unique take on life/death and really quite funny, warming and all that.
IMO, this here teeters between romance, comedy, chick flick, and sci-fi.
I'd reccomend it to anyone who's not yet seen it, it's the kind of movie that I think a lot of people would enjoy.

Road Games

This was annoying at first - stacy keach talking to himself all the time - in a manner i didnt find to be funny or clever - - but eventually it got into a groove i found more comfortable.

if you like hitchcock - you should like this film

Magnolia

Wow...what a fantastic movie. Its only the second P.T. Anderson film that I've seen (There Will Be Blood being the first), but based on these I'd easily rank him among the greatest filmmakers working today.

If you haven't seen this and you have 3 hours to kill, I really suggest checking it out.

If you liked Magnolia, give Boogie Nights and Punch Drunk Love a try too.

You might be pleasantly surprised...especially by Punch Drunk Love. ;)
