What book u reading at the moment?

I am currently reading "Wounded: Collected Tales of Horror and the Grotesque," by David R. Saliba; published by Booksurge 2002. It is an intense but quick read. Truly horrific.

Trying to finish up the last few pages of "The Hungry Moon" by Ramsey Campbell. Story seems to be dragging, especially the end, and I really have not been able to get into it for some reason. This one just doesn't do it for me I guess.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

SamCostello 07-22-2007 08:02 AM

This week I read Michel Houellebecq’s book-long essay on Lovecraft: HP Lovecraft, Against the World, Against Life, which was very good and provided a lot of insight into Lovecraft’s development as a writer, specifically connecting some dots that I hadn’t considered before. A good, quick read.

Finished mine this morning. The ending was pretty good considering most long series typically end very badly.

Next on my reading list is The Darkness That Comes Before (The Prince of Nothing, Book 1) by R. Scott Bakker.

Dante'sInferno 07-26-2007 02:20 AM

I’m working through Steve Erickson’s Arc D’X now, about an alternative future, the tortured American relationship with race, Thomas Jefferson, Sally Hemmings, and more. I’ve been having trouble with fiction lately, but this is great stuff, drawing me right back in.
