I like the fact that they released special editions of the first couple of F13 movies...with a stereo surround remix! I had been waiting for that for a long time ...just bought the Part 2 disc, and it sounds wonderful. Does the movie a lot of good.

Fuck 7 is that the one with the psychic bitch FUCK that. It's good to see a fan of Jason Takes New York now THATS one that doesn't get any justice.

Why is everyone putting part 6 at the bottom of the list? I think it's the quintessential Jason movie. The best aspect of Jason is that he's a large, mindless, undead killer. Parts 4, 6 and 8 really show him in his glory, without the useless gimmicks (i.e. Space, 'Carrie', 'not-Jason cop out', etc.).

Here's my ranking:

4
6
8
3
(remake)
2
1
Freddy v Jason
10
5

I just watched FT13 2009.
I was liking it in the beginning but i think the lighting was too dark. I wanted to see the sets better. And there was no good close up or extended shot of his face. Why do hours of make up and not to a face shot. And what happened to the girl that killed his mother ? Did they say she was killed later? i may have missed it.
Had some great kills but i don't think they topped some of the other films.
And why did it only get half of one star in the review. Not like it had shitty acting. I bet pieces of shit like House of Wax {Paris Hilton edition} got 2 stars.

And where was the Ka ka ka Ma ma ma. Not nearly enough of the Ka ka ka Ma ma ma,
unless i didn't notice over the metal and bass.

I'm a filmmaker and Friday the 13th The Final Chapter is the reason why. I was 12 when I saw it and it was the first time I noticed the relationship between the movie and the audience and I noticed how the movie manipulated the audience.

As such I'm a HUGE fan of the series but with a caveat. To me, the series ends with The Final Chapter. I never cared for the movie's as a whole or as part of the franchise after part 4. Mind you, I've seen every single one on opening day since part 3, including the remake (save for Jason Lives because it came out the day I was moving), so I have given the series a chance, but I think zombie Jason is a joke and as such the series went down hill, FAST. Part 5 has some great kills though.

Here's how I rank 'em.

The Final Chapter
Part 2
Friday the 13th
Part 3

As for the rest of the series, the only one that has any merit is Jason Lives and for the kills I tolerate A New Beginning, but 7-FvJ are all terrible. To qualify which one is better than the other would be an insult to the word "better" and would be like comparing having diarrhea to throwing up.

The first one at least had somebody in it with a modicum of characterization.
