CLEAR YOUR INBOX NOW

Actually... I just wanted to know who's playing RIGHT NOW... The accoustic guitar and... strings... plaintive voice... I LOVE it.

It's a band named Filter.

The HDC Hall of Fame is a highly-respected group which has inductees who have been leaders, innovators and contributing members who have shaped HDC since times immemorial into what it is, today. They have single-handedly worked on this place and made it into a truly amazing destination for the fans of horror - both hardcore and new.

Since the past two years, we have had two very respectable and honored inductees - Bloodrayne and Zwoti.

For the presentation of this year's HDC Hall of Famer 2008 award, I would like to call...

one of our other very respected members...

Ladies and Gentlemen...

Newb!!

And thank you, Flayed, for presenting that momentous and highly respected Award. :)

Ladies and Gentlemen, our other Honorary HDC Jury Award winner needs no introduction. From defending the literary persona who have evolved and molded Horror into what it is today, to bashing the modern-day masterpieces and leaving many a critic stunned and speechless with his unabashed and stinging criticism, he is surely a master of the genre in HDC.

Whether it be literary criticisms, or works of art, novels or comic-books, classic movies or modern, this member's wide and varied knowledge in each sector of horror is both incomparable and very highly respected by all HDC members and the world outside.

Recently, he has branched out one of his many talents in the form of a literary book which is destined to become a bestseller once people start taking notice of what a masterpiece it truly is. Right now, it boasts plenty of sales among us and also among fans of the genre, who love to read a fresh take on the already-overdone bizarro horror sub-genre.

Ladies and gentlemen, I would request all of you to please stand up and put your hands together...

For the wonderful author of Murderland - Part I - H8...

Garrett, you absolutely deserve this. I have a ridiculous amount of respect for you. As someone who is my age, you're already achieving one of your dreams - to be a published writer (and I'm JEALOUS damnit! Ok, maybe I should get off my ass and actually WRITE) and you deserve all of the accolades and congratulations. Your first book was an absolute pleasure to read and I can't wait to read more from you. I wish you the best and plan on giving you my continual support.

The track I played was from the album Songs in the Key of X- songs inspired by the X-Files.
