The latest De Palma film, based on a war crime by U.S soldiers in Iraq. A hard thing to swallow, but not something you wouldn't expect happens there.

As for the film it's self, it was a great look into the way these things are shown in both sides of the media, It made you hate the war even more if that is possible. Definatley his best film for a long, long time.

8/10

National Treasure, whatever whatever... pt 2 or whatever..?

The family version of Indiana Jones, pretty cheesy, feel good movie, I walked into it for free hopeing for at least 1 minute of Nic Cage magic, he didn't deliver.

5/10

Funny Games U.S

It was copybook, but I still can not understand why Haneke felt he had to do this, or was he saving it from the hands of some hack...?

Naomi Watts was brilliant, give her the Oscar, oh well....

6.5/10 maybe more if I hadn't seen the origanal and was such a huge fan.

I'm not a Cage fan at all. I have yet to see a movie where he pulls off a really good acting job.

Oh I'm sorry, of course you're right. Since you think he sucks, it must be true !

Rise... not good, not bad, just blah. Lucy Liu is hot, though.

Have you seen many of his movies, because I think he is briliant, it is just in the last 12 years or so where he has been makeing more mainstream movies that you only get a glimpse of it at times.

here are some I recomend if you haven't seen them yet.

Wild at Heart

Birdy

Vampires Kiss

Leaving Las Vegas

Adaptaion

Raising Arizona

Rumble fish (small part , but great movie adaptaion of a great S.E Hinton novel)

Otherwise, he always adds some great maddness to his characters at some point in the movie.

I haven't seen any of those. Which of those are horror films?

Just rented Gone Baby Gone tonight and it was awesome! It is definitely the best movie of 2007! 9 out of 10.

I guess Vampires Kiss is the closest on the list to a horror, it's about a guy who starts to believe he is a vampire...

But they are all great movies, you should watch them when you can.

Hatchet

I had to soldier on through this one. Found it boring as hell.
