Near Dark was a very good movie but like V said...Fright Night was a fun ride. And it stills hold up pretty good with age....cept maybe for the cheesy 80s dance club scene

Fright Night gets my vote

P.S. The reason it took me so long to publish the results was because of school work and because I have (temporarily) moved out of horror movies and back in to Star Trek. Hopefully, I should still be able to keep on top of this thread, despite my (temporary) interest change.

Really unfortunate news.

That's the best part :D

Seriously...3 great songs in once scene.

Ian Hunter's "Good Man In A Bad Time"
Evelyn "Champagne" King's "Give It Up"
Autograph's "You Can't Hide (From The Beast Inside)"

Especially love Ian Hunter & Autograph. Ian wrote some great songs including Great White's biggest hit, "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" and "Cleveland Rocks" made famous thanks to the Drew Carey Show.

Anyway, yeah my vote is for Fright Night of course.

Fright Night is one of my favourite vampire movies and a brilliant tongue in cheek horror flick. Tom Holland did a great job of delivering a legitimate horror while still spoofing the genre.... Even to the point where he is using the Peter Vincent character to take a swipe at the over saturation of by the numbers slasher flicks around at the time. Great directing that actually provides a ton of atmosphere and some quality special effects. Totally adore it.

That said, since it's already wrapped up the win, I'm voting for Fright Night 2, for other reasons....
