Now, on to the award.

There are very few of us who haven't aspired to do something that will live on when we are gone. Whatever your beliefs, it is a comforting fact to know that you will leave something behind bearing your name for those in future generations to admire. Some momento to prove that you existed, that you were a living being and a creator that breathed life into something that it lives on.

Having the talent and vision to create such a thing is a very special gift. To be able to find time to make it come to fruition during the daily routines of financial and family is an impossibility for the majority of us. Many are lucky enough to find time to practice their former art & aspirations as a hobby. We set around, writing nocturnally on our computers, hoping that when we retire we'll have the time to finish our 'Great American Novel.'

This very special award is presented tonight to someone who has made the time to make a career out of that childhood fantasy. Someone who has struggled through long hours of editing and contest touring, and someone who undoubtedly knows the heartache of having something so dear to you rejected by a stranger as 'not good enough.'

Through parenthood and the chores of being a stay at home father, he has found the time to create something special. Although some of it may be more along the lines of the child you stick in the basement when people come over, he has more to come and plenty to be proud of.

From SciFi originals all the way up to working with two modern masters of horror, this man deserves this award in every sense of the word. Thanks for taking the time to be part of this community. We consider you a friend, and a man who will definately live on after he's gone in the minds of horror fans.

Ladies in gentlemen, I have been given the honor and pleasure in presenting Mr. Sean Keller, our very own Roderick Usher, with this award for his upcoming film Giallo.

Yeah, Seriously Rod. Way to go. You've done some pretty awesome stuff this year. And you're humble about it. Good job man.

And congratulations, Sean. I have a ridiculous amount of respect for you as someone who is now fulfilling their lifelong dream and working with a director whom they have respected their whole lives. I truly can't wait until your movie comes out. And I will drag as many of my friends out to see it and buy a damn ticket just to support you.

It's the Scottish version, It's the single malt whiskey for cheap that month at the pub.

Ahh. I was reading "malt" like the old timey ice cream soda.

At least I'm a temporary alcoholic beverage. So I have that going for me, which is nice.

And thank you, Flayed, for presenting that momentous and highly respected Award. :)

Ladies and Gentlemen, our other Honorary HDC Jury Award winner needs no introduction. From defending the literary persona who have evolved and molded Horror into what it is today, to bashing the modern-day masterpieces and leaving many a critic stunned and speechless with his unabashed and stinging criticism, he is surely a master of the genre in HDC.

Whether it be literary criticisms, or works of art, novels or comic-books, classic movies or modern, this member's wide and varied knowledge in each sector of horror is both incomparable and very highly respected by all HDC members and the world outside.

Recently, he has branched out one of his many talents in the form of a literary book which is destined to become a bestseller once people start taking notice of what a masterpiece it truly is. Right now, it boasts plenty of sales among us and also among fans of the genre, who love to read a fresh take on the already-overdone bizarro horror sub-genre.

Ladies and gentlemen, I would request all of you to please stand up and put your hands together...

For the wonderful author of Murderland - Part I - H8...
