Rescue Dawn

So wonderfully immediate and authentic. Werner Herzog rules.

8/10

"I am legend" 8/10

First half of the movie was to a 9/10 rating. The last half was to 7-8/10.

But all in all one of the best movies of 2007 imo.

Shrek 3
No where near as terrible as I was led to believe. While it certainly isn't as good as the first, and doesn't even come close to touching the second, it's not all bad. I was glad that it kept it's sense of humour. I laughed out loud numerous times, and thats a rare thing for me to do. There is humour for both the young and the old. Some references kids just wouldn't get, and I was semi-shocked that they included such references in a child-aimed movie. It did a good job on the parodying, and I especially loved the high school scene. I also liked how they dealt with the 'princesses', sort of Charlie's Angels-esque. Ultimately though, the soundtrack is drastically cut down and it's lacking that big final message / emotional scene. I also missed those adrenaline scenes (you know, those actions scenes that are so beautifully animated, and set to a catchy song)... such as the Fairy's workshop scene in 2nd, or the giant gingerbread man scene in the 2nd as well. While it's the worst of the trilogy, you could certainly do a lot worse when selecting a CGI Kids flick. Some of them are downright shit (The Wild, for example...), but I'm sure Amalthea will tell you differently.

A solid B.

The Legend of Lucy Keyes ~ not bad exactly, but nothing special. Forgettable.

Slayer ~ pretty much what I have come to expect from a Sci Fi channel movie. Pretty goofy. :p

A Dead Calling ~ awful, just awful.

Altered ~ call me crazy, I actually really liked this one. Lots of fun.
